Re:BSD vs. Linux on Monday August 13, 2012 @10:08AM (#4375934)
I think it's funny (and great) that's a lot of OSX users "support" FreeBSD and BSD in general because of OSX using part of the userland of FreeBSD. And it's funny when they said "not been able to get it with Linux".
Re:What makes Paris look like Paris? on Monday August 13, 2012 @08:11AM (#4375487)
Definitely yes. You can tell by the shape of the street sign. To my mind it's somewhere in the south of Paris. Maybe near the Parc Montsouris but I'm not sure.

Hi,

I'm French and lived in Paris since 12 years (and 13 years in the suburb before that) and made... 95% percent! (well I think it helps to read French). Anyway it's interesting, even for a French. So thanks.

Re:Ubuntu is coming back to Dell Laptops on Wednesday July 18, 2012 @02:06PM (#4262007)
Hi, I lived in China (Dalian), and laptops are sold with FreeDOS. It's mainly used to boot and to make sure the laptop is working. And to check that you get what you paid for! People who can pay for Windows don't live in China, that's why :) (well of course a minority can, but they don't buy their laptops in the same stores...). In US/CA/EU/Japan I think everybody can afford to pay the little extra for a windows licence.
