If they were really worried about the models of the future, they should be accelerating their hardening efforts. They should be trying to speed up progress as much as possible so that all vulnerabilities can be patched before China gets there.
There's a world where the labs WANT Open Source AI to cause a disaster.
Pacing the frontier just means giving bad actors an opportunity to create an AI disaster which would force an extreme response by governments. Which they seem to be begging for.
Dario's big scary example was AI that can hack the internet. Why aren't the labs calling on the government to help harden everything? Why are Anthropic's Glasswing and OpenAI's Daybreak still commercial endeavours?
To me, the only real risk of AI is hacking. Why all of this commotion about existential risk? Seems like a distraction.
this is the wholly wrong approach. We need to advance as fast as possible, and harden our systems as much as possible. That's the only way to prevent another actor from "taking over the internet".
4-MMC / Mephedrone is one of the most useful compounds for researching the phenomenology of bliss
And it worked. BREAKING: The export controls on Claude Fable 5 are expected to be lifted tonight, per Politico!
GLM 5.2 is better and cheaper. Maybe they are trying to embarrass Trump by making it look like we are losing to China.
Cursor will definitely win the enterprise for coding. Enterprises aren't going to trust a TUI
I think he also wants it to avoid sounding like the typical redditor or HN commenter.
https://artificialanalysis.ai/evaluations/omniscience?omnisc...AA-Omniscience Hallucination Rate (lower is better) measures how often the model answers incorrectly when it should have refused or admitted to not knowing the answer. It is defined as the proportion of incorrect answers out of all non-correct responses, i.e. incorrect / (incorrect + partial answers + not attempted).
Grok 4.2 which was just released in the API just benched the best at this benchmark.
"superintelligence research company"
Please, keep telling people that. For my sake. Keep the world asleep as I take advantage of this technology which is literally General Artificial Intelligence that I can apply towards increasing my power.
Not to mention, @Gork, aka Grok 3.5...
In general, the vulnerability of our computers is major national security concern as we enter in the era of AGI. This administration needs to setup a system hardening commission. In the era of AI... if we aren't using the leading AI to hack our own systems first, then when the capability to use the latest models to hack is widely available, we are going to have a bad time.
"The DOJ Still Wants Google to Sell Off Chrome" -Wired (March 7, 2025)
It is suffering from DDOS attack. People are already politicizing it trying to blame Iran.
It may eventually be able to solve any problem
Weird demo for a $200 product. Where is the $200 value?
I've found cannabis to be extremely helpful. It adds a tinge of paranoia - so if you're paranoid about not reaching your potential, it can kick you into gear.
It's truly not a fair fight. There are literally trillions of dollars being spent to hijack our attention
gaming consoles were pro-social when you had split screens, a thing of the past
This is literally my childhood / teenage years, and I was born in the 90s.
Seems like everything changed when our dopamine systems were highjacked by handheld screens.
Started to see the first glimpses of this, everyone crowding around my IPod in shop class to watch a crazy Aphex Twin music video I put on it, or even watching a movie on the Ipod, hooked up to my car speakers with my gf sitting in the school parking lot
After very close review and comparison of the pixels of sharp photos, I've found high quality JPG to be superior to TIFF. JPG captures slightly more detail, at least with my Epson DS-560 duplex scanner @ 600dpi.
Does anyone know of a scanner that does better than 600dpi that isn't insanely expensive? High quality photos can have extreme details that 600 dpi can't capture.
People would be horrified if they knew the extent to which basically every corporation shares data with everyone else for "business intelligence"
I never saw IA on the same level as libgen, which is just straight piracy
This is ridiculous. Assumes that Oxygen only is created by stars. Oxygen is one of the most abundant elements created during LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reaction, formerly known as Cold Fusion) experiments.

Boeing is a money maker now for news outlets. We will hear absolutely everything going wrong with a Boeing plane for the foreseeable future. Honestly, I am surprised there isn't more failures given the current narrative.
America has strategic ambiguity when it comes to hypersonic tech..
It appears that America is behind. They keep reporting their hypersonic programs are failing.
The best tech is not presented to the public.
What happened with the NDAA makes it clear that defense contractors are hiding advanced technology related to UAPs.
The UAP Disclosure Act unanimously passed the Senate. When it got to the House, it was completely gutted by the man who is Lockheed's #1 Lobbying Recipient (Mike Turner). Here is the response from the Senate when the House killed the bill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0HoXkQXpVE
So it's clear, defense contractors have advanced technology that not even Congress or the President can learn about.
That's your opinion. Most guests have a wealth of knowledge that shouldn't be discounted outright.
He's really gone downhill lately. Looking really rough. And stoned on top of that. I wonder if he can even comprehend half of what his guests are saying.
