`Still, it's understandable.`

Why are you defending a multibillion company that is acting against user rights and benefits?

Others are making it wrong doesn't justify another wrong.

In any case: they are different because they are in the face all day long, they are not a device some needs to start using to record; they are not operated by the user, in the sense that the user does not show any active indication of recording (e.g. they are not holding the camera); they are similar to regular glasses, making it hard to distinguish;

and they do not clear indicate if they are recording (and don't tell me that the LED is enough)

Because the money they are spending and the money they will be making comes and ends in different pockets.
Yes, Spain has fires every year, but this time is different:

240,000 acres is about 97,000 hectares. By July 26, Spain had already lost more than 150,000 hectares, or around 371,000 acres, six times the area burned by the same point last year...

"The side-effect most people didn't consider is that you never really own a digital copy."

I understand that this is the reality we live in, but I don't know how we have accepted it.

It would be nice to add (2024) to the title, this is not news (see: https://research.google/blog/a-decoder-only-foundation-model...)
It was very interesting, I liked your style of explaining both at user level but also at more technical level.

Very cool post, thanks for sharing!

While I agree with your comment, this sentence:

"This was given to the AI by having it watch a video that explains it."

This was not as trivial as it may seem just a few months ago...

Not a single button to download the app on the landing page.

A lot of info about the company who made it, a lot of info about how bad other actors are, and a lot about requesting funding, but not a single video, neither how to explore the platform or download anything.

I guess this is not made for users...

With your description, ChatGPT tells me it may be this one:

Is it? :)

Is in the 6th section, maybe a bit too late, don't you think?
85 meters
Maybe it's the other way around: there wasn't enough environmental pressure to eliminate this trait.

Others prefer to have hobbies outside of coding, and that's fine.

I get your point, but that's not exactly the case. Madrid is built there not by coincidence, there are a lot of underground rivers that cross the region, but then the city was built on top of them.

And about ruins, they are, but they are also hidden: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muralla_cristiana_de_Madrid

They are obligated by law to create this content

See: https://www.innovationmcc.com/post/spain-will-now-protect-it...

> "Towards the end of 2018, European Parliament approved a law that requires all platforms that provide audiovisual content throughout the continent to have at least 30% European productions within their programming."

"such as faint quasars, which would be just as interesting"

If you're going to quote, I would suggest to do it fully.

Realism vs idealism, I guess.
Re:I want to lose every debate on Tuesday January 31, 2023 @03:16AM (#34592631)
I would say that more importantly than winning or losing a debate is to know which debate you should participate.
There are some videos on the site but it's taking time to load, I think the site is under HN hug.

Then add black as part of your environment with an specific version...

I am not a lawyer but what you're proposing to generate a what is called a "derivative work" and depending on the country, laws are different:

Blue origin also vertically land (and the Shuttle also landed)

My recommendation: Add examples on the main page, so the new users don't need to overload your site.

Otherwise the process is the following:

I enter the page -> Upload image -> See 4h of queue for getting my result -> I close the tab, leaving there a pending task.
