I thought lenovo is one of the most trustable laptop manufacturers, because of ThinkPad lineage.

say no more ig.

Thing is if you do things by hand or do not, It's still for company. You'd be penalized in some cases for not using.

For personal software yes it's a good exercise.

I don't use claude-code and like to use the harness of my choice.
Simply put, I could compile and build from the source of most of the exciting cutting-edge software for free as a hobbyist once I own the computer.

But I can't do the same for things that excite me in this DL domain, even running pretrained models requires hardware that most hobbyists can't afford.

Cloud solutions exist but unlike traditional dev where we could test almost everything about the application locally, only thing unsolved was deployment and distribution in some cases, which is a sensible spend on infrastructure.

They did great for their time.

Glory of the past doesn't exempt the incompetence of the culture present now.

Page-rage was the first thing I thought of.

Perfect timing, just yesterday I was exploring async implementation and their intricacies in non-GC langs.

I'd be content if I could get the DS4 flash, luna, mimo level intelligence running on MY low-end hardware completely offline and bearable TPS, not otherwise.
Interested!
It helps for fuzzing, maintaining and is actually a great help for seniors, maybe not for the ones who don't care for the project and publish slop. It could now actually help a lot in some ways not just coding though but things surrounding project management.

I genuinely don't know what lead to the compilers when we already had a simpler concept of signals.

Mature tui packages like bubbletea, lipgloss. Besides TS resemblance to go could push the movement of rewrite, not necessarily easier though.

CC isn't foss in the first place, so the previous comment falls short.

When, manus.ai came out I wondered the same, the "use computer" mode seemed really interesting to me, although I've seen JAYU [1] which implemented computer use with gemini. Moreover I saw somewhere I really don't remember navigating web browser through layouts akin vimium like experience.

Initially (my impression of) computer use was only opening chrome and doing things inside chrome, chrome-as-os experience, I think maybe cloudflare could do something better here, with their workers?

Per user instance seems really costly I really do wonder how did they architect it.
