Just installed that CPU into my work computer a couple months ago, and it's indeed quite a fantastic deal overall. It's really easy to see the benefit from having a fast workstation, even if you're not developing extremely resource-intensive applications.

Indeed, and it doesn't take an exceptional amount of effort to learn how to do so, either. I've inherited a large plate of untested spaghetti at my current job, but we've managed to make some good inroads through testing and refactoring; developers of all experience levels are able to produce better work thanks to this emphasis.

Could you elaborate a bit on the reasons for your opposition to front controllers?
