D3.js docs used to be fine. Now you need to "ask AI" to untangle them?

Re:Apache ECharts on Tuesday April 08, 2025 @06:54PM (#43627261)
It's a shame - and I'm not sure why they did it other than to use D3.js' popularity promote Observable.
Re:Apache ECharts on Tuesday April 08, 2025 @06:51PM (#43627243)
Not touching D3.js since Observable.
What a game. Lost hours to QTE Title (one of the games within the game) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drdFhBKDvIQ

For most (nowadays), the journey is about becoming a competent researcher.
Re:The Illustrated Guide to a PhD on Sunday January 12, 2025 @05:00AM (#42672450)
I would show this to all prospective PhD students, and then again on their first day if they were selected.

Re:Ask HN: Is genetic programming still actively researched? on Saturday August 05, 2023 @03:36PM (#37015589)
Genetic programming, and more generally, Evolutionary Computation (EC), is still an active research area. Many researchers are pivoting/re-packaging their work to fit the AI boom. It's not difficult to apply EC to things like neural networks, so that's an angle researchers will take to get funding.
