Thanks, this seemed obvious to me too. But I would add, this could apply to orange too - there are a lot of orange tones between yellow and red, and if you likewise wanted to determine your subjective boundary, which this is only about, you would be able to say "rather red for me" or "rather yellow for me", regardless of the intermediate color. Since the space of colors can be described as convex, so to speak, you can between every two arbitrary colors determine your subjective decision boundary, regardless of any color in between. The premise is just accepting to ignore those colors.

Well, there you go! Thanks for that piece of information :)

It may be unfair to Jobs, but I feel like the comparison of him as the genius vs. Cook the talented enabler is a bit flat.

I think the genius of Cook becomes obvious when you look at the fate of Tesla - if Musk, another impressive mind of our time, had "gone away" in the right window and was replaced by a person like Cook who got it to really broad adoption, then everyone would say "Musk the visionary did it all", but in fact, its much harder to do the right stuff right, than just be the one constantly shooting stuff against the wall wondering what might stick. Jobs was a century defining visionary, sure, but that is not enough, by a far margin. There are so many great ideas out there, where nobody knows how to pull it off (see communism as an off example).

I think in the end the takeaway from both your and the Gonon - project is that timekeeping only makes sense if it is linked to commonly shared, clearly perceptible phenomena that occur regularly, because otherwise you either have no shared concept to communicate time or you always land at even more arbitrary conventions or social constructs.

Let me rephrase that for you:

"Interesting idea! Token consumption sure is an issue that should be addressed, and this is pretty funny too! However, I happen to have an unproven claim that tokens are units of thinking, and therefore, reducing the token count might actually reduce the model's capabilities. Did anybody using this by chance notice any degradation (since I did not bother to check myself)?"

Have a nice day!
