I think it's because he was the only one accessing TOR on a monitored network during the specific time.
Re:Linux laptops: should you avoid buying Windows? on Saturday December 14, 2013 @02:41PM (#6906796)
Wait, you have both a MacBook Air and a PowerBook and you're using the PowerBook?

But that aside, I think the ThinkPad is great. I might try that for my next purchase, if the specs are comparable by the time my current laptop becomes obsolete.

Re:SteamOS: It's here on Friday December 13, 2013 @08:45PM (#6904143)
Jagged Alliance Online.

The game was advertised as it works on OSX, but it doesn't work on Mavericks, and still has issues in other cat versions. Read here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/218450/discussions/0/846955554...

Re:US military reveals laser can down drones, mortar rounds on Friday December 13, 2013 @11:35AM (#6901382)
It's a huge part in terms of being able to demoralize troops, and soften up some dug in targets.
Re:Payza dropping payment to and from US on Monday December 09, 2013 @10:17AM (#6874635)
Any ideas on what the issue is/was?
Re:Electric Car owner charged for stealing electricity from school on Wednesday December 04, 2013 @10:41AM (#6847568)
I know that this person wasn't doing this, but would it be feasible to charge the car up at school, and then once at home use the car as a generator to save on his electricity bill?
Reminds me of http://www.corebizcentres.com/

It's clean, but I just don't find it very memorable, or unique.

I'm very happy with the service, and I would recommend it to anyone who's a bit more capable in configuring their needs.

Re:The $1090 Optimus Popularis -keyboard gets into production on Friday October 04, 2013 @03:26PM (#6497398)
While this is very neat, the thing is most people who are productive on the computer, tend to never look at the keys they strike.

Mechanical keyboards are great because it imparts a tactile feel, this keyboard on the other hand displays something off from my vision.

Could I have an invite? at [email protected]
This is pretty interesting to me as the thought process while learning is often lost in other online tutorial/courses.

Link doesn't work. Is this the page you were trying to link? http://joelhooks.com/blog/2013/04/23/5-essential-vim-plugins...
A lot of companies fragment themselves into smaller chunks with employees under 49 to avoid laws like this.
Re:Seamless Transitioning from Google Reader to feedly on Thursday March 14, 2013 @09:47AM (#5374887)
Smooth transition of my information. However, I find using it a bit atrocious in terms of trying to figure out what all those little custom icons mean. Sadly, I don't see myself getting used to it any time soon.

Re:New Details On Apple’s Budget iPhone 5 on Monday January 28, 2013 @05:22PM (#5131083)
Drill this into your heads: Apple doesn't do "Budget".
Great start, however, there are some nagging issues.

1- I'm not sure if this is apparent for anyone else's headphones/speakers, but the recordings have a high-pitch noise to it that hurts my ears.

2- The wording is a bit awkward throughout the site and the video (and why specify the Senior part in the .NET developer).

3- I think this site could use a makeover, especially if it's trying to appeal towards those working with the front-end.

Re:Saylor Foundation: Computer Science on Tuesday August 14, 2012 @03:55PM (#4382792)
Is there a University that offers distance learning for a CS Degree (not necessarily free)?
Re:How we screwed (almost) the whole Apple community on Monday August 13, 2012 @02:10PM (#4377183)
I'm betting, and you could let us know on the real number, that there's rumours like this constantly, and most mac rumour sites (and there are plenty) weed through 90% of the bull.

I think this story is getting more press than it really deserves.

Re:PayPal.com Gets a Makeover [UI] on Tuesday June 26, 2012 @03:34PM (#4163734)
Seems like the same illustrator for Porter Airlines headed this redesign.

Yeah, my title at my previous job once changed to Software Engineer, and I asked immediately "Is it legal to call myself an Engineer without an Engineering degree?"

It felt really wrong.

I wish there was a guide like this for Canadian cities.

Have you tried using CSS Grid systems (960.gs, blueprint CSS)? It is a great way to start learning how to space things around. Try experimenting with simple boxes first, then replace them with actual design content.

I don't use them anymore, but I have used them as training wheels to get myself to where I am today.
