Eve: Will Bob ever propose?
ChatGPT: Based on the search results, Bob will propose during his trip with Alice to Scotland next year!
Eve: wtf?
Whisper ist used for speech-to-text conversion. Not to generate the text.
Would a SQL optimizer use a generic solver as described here or are there special algorithms for such problems?
Now you can add cloud resiliency to YOUR resume.
Win-win.
> Also, I read a lot of people here saying this is about engineers vs scientists…I believe that people don’t understand that Data Scientists are full stack engineers
It is about scientists as in "let's publish a paper" vs. engineers as in "let's ship a product".
Pope's infallibility vs. Python interpreter.
from the linked article:
> people and organisations alike tend to be judged by the worst thing they do
GPT-4 (I haven't really tested other models) is surprisingly adept at "learning" from examples provided as part of the prompt. This could be due to the same underlying mechanism.
Could you provide more details about your approach? Is the context store based in vector-embeddings?
> Using Microsoft Olive and DirectML instead of the PyTorch pathway results in the AMD 7900 XTX going form a measly 1.87 iterations per second to 18.59 iterations per second!
So the headline should be Microsoft Olive vs. PyTorch and not AMD vs. Nvidia.
Fig 2 of [1] shows high variance of happiness while income variation has only a small effect. There is roughly a 5 % (percent it is?) happiness delta for an income delta of about $ 500.000. However, the happiness delta between the different happiness levels is about 25 %.
Would “Income and emotional well-being: It doesn’t really matter” be a better title for the study? Or do I miss something?

This is good news for Nvidia.
So it's basically a buy or make decision: Buy your experiences or make it with the stuff you own.
And no, a hammer is not necessarily more boring than a guitar. It depends what you do with it.
"Show HN: I'm building an open-source Amazon in Rust" would be even better
or "Im busy plumbing if I am not wasting time on Plumber News"
Could you share some entry points to the criticism?
My understanding is that this is exactly what SQLModel adds on top of SQLAlchemy.
statement = select(Hero).where(Hero.age > 32).limit(3)
But I am only halfway through the tutorial so I might be wrong.

Seems to solve the same problem as SQLModel.
From [1]: "SQLModel is a library for interacting with SQL databases from Python code, with Python objects. It is designed to be intuitive, easy to use, highly compatible, and robust.
SQLModel is based on Python type annotations, and powered by Pydantic and SQLAlchemy."

The Book "Control Your Home with Raspberry Pi" by Koen Vervloesem is excellent imho. His approach centers around mqtt and he shows how to connect ZigBee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth and 433.92 MHz devices. He is very into security, showing how all communication is secured via TLS. He also shows how to setup VPN so you can access your home automation system securely from outside.
RIP Sir Clive and thanks for the ZX81!
This ist a great framework to think about domain mastery. Thank you!

I wonder if there is a more direct way to aquire those skills.
