I'm doing the same thing except YouTube and certain niche subreddits have been very hard for me to kill off. Also apps that I want to check up on every now and then get put behind a firewall so they can only access the network when I allow them to, but some are still able to send me notifications despite being blocked. I need to figure out how they are getting around that or better yet just uninstall the app. After I killed off all the big tech social media slop I found notifications for random things to be almost as bad.

So as a manager you get to fire 5% without you being affected then in turn the other 95% work harder to make you look better. Sounds like a win win. I can see why you are in favor of this insane policy.

Yeah I was disappointed with their RenTech episode, despite it being hyped up on HN. Think I learned more from the Jim Simmons numberphile (I think) interview.

Does management ever get PIP'd? In my experience its lowly ICs that take the brunt of PIP culture.

Sony is making high end phones that have all these features, like the xperia line. The UI is a little wonky, and you have to degoogle the phone, but after that its pretty solid.

At least to me, there's nothing subtle about it. As soon as I read that paragraph I wondered how obvious it was to Zuck that Thiel was blowing smoke up his ass.
