More realistically, some developer fucked up some logic in the new algorithm which is supposed to ignore most of /r/The_Donald for the election.
Re:Microsoft, I Forgive You on Thursday October 27, 2016 @10:05PM (#12812422)
Monopoly in itself is bad for consumers. Google and Apple abuse their monopoly in their specific markets not because they are "just as bad" but because they have monopoly just like Microsoft does in it's own market.
You can't be good at many things, mostly because people who spend all their time doing one thing will outdo you; so at best you'll be mediocre at many things. At worst, you'll think you're good at all those things.

Be mediocre at many things and specialize to some extent on few things.

Do a Web search for "YOUR LAPTOP MODEL hackintosh".
Just buy an old one after your current one breaks if you love Magsafe so much. I'm sure many will be willing to sell their old 2015 Macbook pros when one with wireless charging comes out in 2023.
>that your efforts will be directed to what top management considers the problem to be and not necessarily what you consider the problem to be.

Unless you are the management.

How does it compare to Microsoft Edge?
Re:Why you should never use Upwork on Sunday October 23, 2016 @12:49PM (#12774257)
Any publicity is good publicity so I don't think it will help.

We need more people like Peter Thiel. With these many years of work, there must be a few dozen lawsuits that could be funded to take these shitheads down.

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Tuesday October 18, 2016 @11:14PM (#12740758)
>clearly there is a lot of dirt on Trump

Yep, like calling fat people fat and saying "pussy" in a private conversation.

>Seriously?

Don't take my word for it. Read the emails by media broker of the DNC: https://wikileaks.org/dnc-emails/emailid/7216

This is what he says:

>This is who I will meet with in NYC. At each meeting, I’ll discuss hits we’ve executed (if relevant) and future hits. Anything I should add?

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @10:56PM (#12731675)
Only when it doesn't fit the narrative.
Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @09:36PM (#12731345)
Wikileaks is NOT helping Trump. They're merely releasing information that would make impact in the election. Assange doesn't even support Trump. He supports Jill Stein.

They'd be more than happy to release any information on Trump. Unfortunately, they don't hack the information themselves. Someone else has to send it to them.

Here is what Assange had to say about Trump: "I mean, it’s from a point of view of an investigative journalist organization like WikiLeaks, the problem with the Trump campaign is it’s actually hard for us to publish much more controversial material than what comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth every second day". Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @09:32PM (#12731324)
>How does he know it's a "state actor"?

You'd have to ask him that. Unfortunately, he is not allowed to talk.

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @09:27PM (#12731299)
>unfortunately, that would cause a LOT of pain for good everyday people

Yeah, so many libtards would be triggered... it's hardly worth it.

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @09:05PM (#12731211)
>Are you implying that the DNC intentionally leaked the emails to wikileaks and are colluding with the FBI to blame Russia?

Nope. He's just implying that FBI and DNC are working together.

What is more likely though is: DNC was hacked, Wikileaks is doing what it has done for 10 years i.e. releasing information so that it makes maximum impact and Clintons are trying to damage-control by implying that Russia is involved... all while telling their Russian friends to pretend as if they support Trump (who has never worked with anything Russian ever... unlike the Clintons).

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @08:57PM (#12731181)
>If WikiLeaks was releasing dirt on both candidates I would feel much differently.

Ever wondered if there is no dirt, there is nothing to release? Unlike the mainstream media which takes command from the Clintons, Wikileaks doesn't fabricate their releases... so it is not possible to release dirt on Trump.

Re:Wikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut' on Monday October 17, 2016 @08:47PM (#12731145)
>The trust I have had in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, ABC/NBC/CBS, Democratic and Republican parties has been irreparably damaged.

Why would you trust them? You think they would go through all that shit to give you information and work for you for a few pennies or for free? When they could be working for the rich and powerful to become one of them... all while getting your pennies?

Re:Mozilla has stopped all commercial development on Firefox OS on Wednesday September 28, 2016 @01:05AM (#12595527)
The problem with that is Google can deny you rights to bundle Play Store... and they will if they see you as a thread... and you're fucked.
Re:Body fat link to bacteria in feces on Monday September 26, 2016 @12:41PM (#12583339)
Give me any bacteria and I will keep the body fat low... you know, by just eating as much as my body needs?
Re:Homebrew 1.0.0 on Wednesday September 21, 2016 @08:14AM (#12547435)
I guess it is because default linux package managers already do a great job.
That's good. It makes them more likely to cover the leaks correctly... unlike those who take commands from the DNC: https://imgur.com/UTq0S95
Re:The iPhones 7 on Tuesday September 13, 2016 @04:46PM (#12492078)
I know a few Apple people. They are so impressed by Apple because they REALLY think that whatever Apple has on their devices every year is something that no other company has done EVER.
If and when I want to tell you that you're wrong, I no longer want you to agree with me or win you over. I just want to tell you to go fuck yourself. At that point, nothing you believe or stand for or identify as will be remotely right in any imaginable stable universe.
>What do you mean by "very low"?

I do ketogenic diet once in a while for a month or two at a time. I eat 1200kcal and try to keep the carbs around 30g (10%). It is recommended to keep it below 25g per day in the diet. I have read somewhere that <100g of carbs per day qualifies as "low carb".

I am not obese nor am I diabetic. I do it just to go from higher end of the normal BMI range to the lower end and this diet is the most effective and easiest way to do it.

I go back to "normal" diet (i.e. don't care about how much of what I am eating) after I am done getting lean and gradually gain the weight back in around a year... and repeat the cycle.

Have done 5 cycles so far. Works pretty well for me.

I REALLY hope that you are being sarcastic.
Re:Obama on Climate Change: The Trends Are ‘Terrifying’ on Thursday September 08, 2016 @07:55PM (#12458551)
>you can have a politician with major donations from Coal/Fossil Fuels try to legitimately discredit a trend that 98% of the scientists in this field have agreed is proven by data

Which politician? What data?

>98% of experts in a field have empirically demonstrated with data that trends are occurring

I would think those experts would have better things to do, but any source?

What is hilarious to me is to see ignorant pseudo intellectuals who believe in political propaganda without even considering what the implications are. So, yeah, climate is changing, it always has and yes human activities affects it too. So what do your politicians do about it? Collect money from people who have no other alternative but to use the same fuel and give it to their friends, move manufacturing to different parts of the world causing more resource usage in transportation instead and pushing inferior, impractical and just as environmentally taxing technologies by subsidising them. How is any of it helping the cause again?

That definition is anything but personal and carries the history of the democratic system prevalent at the time the term was coined. Just because you decide to use the same term for everything now doesn't mean that the original definition is "personal".

Well, to turn Harris' own idea against himself, his "moderate" atheist views also encourages vicious people to justify atrocities in middle east in the name of "fighting Islamic terrorism".
