Re:Why I Moved Back from Gradle to Maven on Tuesday April 03, 2018 @04:36PM (#16748857)
Concur. I found Gradle to be to far removed from the truth so to speak. I like Maven's declarative xml and its promulgation of the build life-cycle. This makes a complex build easier to maintain in the long run imo.
Re:Six security vulnerabilities from a year of HackerOne on Tuesday July 18, 2017 @12:27PM (#14797819)
That one about _blank hrefs - Good one! Thank you.
Yes. It resembles Ratpack on the Java side.

Well speaking Java 8, this java to html library is clean, mean and tight: https://j2html.com
Re:“How” ages faster than “why” on Friday January 27, 2017 @01:36PM (#13501570)
This is an important point to make imo. The human brain works better at knowledge retention on the "why" category more than the "how" indeed.

Therein lies a dilemma: knowing what does what on macOS. I just sit around watching log stream output and wonder why that JPEG is being 'processed' by Safari. But that's another story.
Welcome news.
Re:Emergence on Wednesday January 18, 2017 @12:45PM (#13428413)

Re:Feeling safer online with Firefox on Saturday January 14, 2017 @10:45AM (#13398872)
I'm excited to see FF undertake security this way. It's the right thing to do.
Re:On the Impending Crypto Monoculture (2016) on Thursday January 12, 2017 @12:17PM (#13384073)
Why personify crypto? Let the math alone be the driver in this domain. What is solid and true will eventually trickle up.
If only!
Re:Does It Make Sense for Programmers to Move to the Bay Area? on Wednesday December 14, 2016 @04:02PM (#13179629)
Pretend you live in the bay area and use Skype.
Re:I'm giving up on PGP on Tuesday December 06, 2016 @04:20PM (#13118441)
The 'deficiency' of PGP lay in the leaky nature of the computer itself. How do you maintain your all important private keys? On disk? In memory? USB? All are leaky from the get go. And this, I posit, is the problem gents.
