GREAT CATCH! Thank you. I totally missed Maestro Card as a product. I'll get it added ASAP. The fallback is a good idea, too!

Glad you liked it :)

It could drop conversion if it fails massively, but I'm going to be pretty aggressive about intercepting and triaging bugs. The progressive enhancement side of things protects users from really bad failures, too

I'm glad you think it's beautiful. That's all I can really ever hope to hear as a designer and engineer.

Great point. I'm working on coming up with something to indicate this better -- but the responsibility for that may fall to the form which contains the input, too. Not sure if it's the job of the card to indicate which types it can be.

Definitely a good idea! I've got a ticket in on it, and will spend some time thinking about a well-designed solution: https://github.com/kenkeiter/skeuocard/issues/25
Re:Skeuocard on Thursday August 01, 2013 @06:00PM (#6143864)
The goal of this design is to reduce the friction -- granted, it sounds like you had a difficult first experience, and this isn't (by far) a finished product. There are bugs: 13 of them open right now.

I know you probably won't use it -- and that's okay. I just wanted you to know I heard you :) All of the things you mentioned are things I'm actively working now to address.

Re:Skeuocard on Thursday August 01, 2013 @05:50PM (#6143802)
Thank you for being willing to test it! This isn't something I'm making money off of, nor is it something I feel the need to ram down people's throats -- I just wanted to try something people hadn't seen before.

If it works, and people like it, great! I'm glad to have helped a little. Please let me know if you run into any trouble (my Twitter and email are on the site).

That's really good feedback. I actually hadn't tested on iPad, believe it or not -- I created a ticket on it!

Thanks for the feedback, Camillo! I've got a ticket in on it, and am working on it right now. https://github.com/kenkeiter/skeuocard/issues/22

It's not particularly clever, nor funny.

Read it last year at Zed Shaw's recommendation. Very terse writing, but a great deal of valuable information.
Actually, there's only one camera and lens; his hindsight is just 20. Unless it's a crappy camera, or poorly focused -- then, perhaps only 10.

Hate to look like link-spam, but my company is about to blow this out of the water. Can't give out specs yet, but let's just say: > 1PB/rack. If you're interested, put your email addy in. We won't abuse it.
