There are many types of disabilities. If "power user" means "someone who doesn't use defaults", then people with disabilities are actually more likely to be power users.
Being fast does not make you a power user. "The button works when I push it twice" is a reasonable expectation of a device by default. If that weren't the default, then most people would have a worse experience with their phone.

I agree, I'd rather not see AI-generated articles about AI on HN unless they're really good.

The comment is the abstract of the paper verbatim. This is one of the authors posting their paper on HN, sharing their data, and answering questions. This not just normal and respectable behaviour, it's really cool.

Right, and the only evidence that they were an Apple engineer is their claim in the same video. In the absence of any actual journalism happening here, my assumption is this is a random Tiktoker making up a story for likes.

This whole article is lifted credulously from newsx.com, including the "but the iPhone 18 will be great" paragraph at the end. The referenced tweet is a crypto account. Zero effort to verify the claim or the source, which itself provides no verifiable details. I'd love to hear if anyone thinks https://www.tiktok.com/@honeycoolcat is a credible source.

Lightroom seems determined not to support HEIC export, even though iOS has trouble with all of Lightroom’s other HDR formats. From my testing:
- JPEG with HDR gain map is not supported
- AVIF and JXL HDR files look fine on initial export, but do not survive being sent anywhere from the Photo Library.
So far I haven’t found a way to export an HDR file from Lightroom and then share it with anyone, iOS or Android.

I find it so frustrating when software and web pages don’t default to using the locale info I’ve set in my system settings. Add an app-specific option if you must, but I’d love if these things just worked by default.
