How about adding something about this in the documentation, if you haven't already?

  - Do use Redis for <X>
  - Do NOT use Redis for <Y>
> it is not about the government being objectively awful, it is about the government regulating.

Well, the government is no more awful than any other Mafia.

Think about it. If you don't pay protection money / taxes, you get kneecaps busted / imprisoned.

Neither is something you want to happen, so you pay up. Government is essentially just a vehicle for exploiting people on a massive scale.

Your average mafia couldn't possibly pull off extorting 300 million people, but a government can and does, because people believe it's necessary "for the common good".

> they can use government to actually offset the power that corporations have (through plain capital and through regulatory capture)

You're saying people can "use" the government to compensate for the government itself preventing competition with their cronies.

Isn't that a bit of a fool's errand, even disregarding the fact that in reality we don't use the government - the government very much uses us.

So using the word "psychopath" is "offensive" or something? :D

Give me a break.

Nice how "working together" is an euphemism for having a bunch of rulers enslave everyone else "for the common good" :)

How does this help, compared to Clojure?

Why wouldn't one free mature implementation be good enough?

Exactly like Clojure.

I can't remember which one Clojure is :) But I haven't had any problems with namespaces and the like.

So is Clojure, right? There's the CLR version, and ClojureScript too.

It's very simple. The government is not working towards our interests, but their own.

That applies to every government everywhere, all throughout history, because all governments are populated by psychopaths.

They don't want you to have any privacy at all. Instead, they want to monitor everything you say and do, because it helps them maintain their rule over you.

Oh and by the way, this account will be shadowbanned, because HN is controlled by psychopaths too, and anti-government (=pro-sanity) posters are censored out.

One more thing. You're being told about a "privacy law" being scrapped, because they want to advance "the chilling effect". They want everyone to be afraid of speaking out, as the budding police state engulfs them.

You could look into moving to some less scary country.
