  Willing to relocate: No
Technologies: iOS, Swift, Ruby, Python, Java, JS | Trino, MySQL
  Résumé/CV: https://jurajb.dev/resume.pdf

I’m Juraj, an engineering manager with 12+ years of software engineering experience and 5 years in engineering management. Most recently, I led KAYAK’s iOS and Android organization.

My background is fairly broad: I started in backend/web development, moved into iOS engineering and architecture, and eventually into engineering leadership. I’ve worked on everything from technical strategy and multi-year platform migrations to hiring, performance, team growth, and improving engineering effectiveness.

I’m looking for a remote Senior EM / Director / Head of Engineering role, ideally at a technically ambitious company. I’m particularly interested in product engineering, AI, developer tools and infrastructure, but I’m not tied to mobile.

EU work authorization, open to full time or contract.

To sum it up - the movie is not like the book.

I liked the comparison and expectations based on the source material as I have never read Homer's Odyssey. If anything, the movie inspired me to read The Odyssey.

Maybe I watched a different movie, but there were monsters, giants, cyclops, nymphs and sirens. Why do you need to see the god if you see their offspring laying waste to the world?

I've been working on MacDispatch https://macdispatch.jurajb.dev/

A macOS menu bar app to alert when apps start using too much resources and drain your battery. Helped me diagnose many leaking Chrome tabs and macOS bugged services.
