Mike Ehrmantraut
They will just eliminate "your own hardware".

And yes, they said they wanted you to reset your MFA due to a potential security incident.
Re:Unity Mass-Suspends Accounts on Saturday October 17, 2026 @02:44PM (#50133824)
They sent several email warning messages about this during the month before disabling the accounts from [email protected]

Inappropriate, but clever.
I think most of the time the navy does that.
I'm not sure, but I think there are a few submarines that have remained underwater for that long.
I mean like you could just not go there? yikes, high key (ish) that's super gross my guy
Re:No Man's Sky Cosmos on Monday September 14, 2026 @06:39PM (#49705214)
That kind of play is pretty rare these days. The current way is to put in portal coordinates (which are pretty much mandatory in NMS social media) and just walk through to the destination. Or have someone take you there from the Anomaly. And while what you did is still possible and cool, would you have still done it if given the chance to take a portal? Would most players? (No.)
Re:Neo Emacs – Emacs from the Future on Monday September 14, 2026 @06:29PM (#49705108)
I disagree somewhat. It helps to have some kind of exciting, exotic, whimsical, or challenging context to try it out in. Like how they say you learn a technology best with a project. "Just" trying it out can be a flavorless and easily dropped experience. But I agree with the other poster that this is not a great project for learning Emacs as it currently exists.

Combined turn signals and brake lights!
Re:No Man's Sky Cosmos on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @07:55PM (#49636333)
But you are pretty much guaranteed never to meet anyone while roaming around randomly. Only if you go to a galaxy center, the Anomaly, an expedition, or matchmake into someone else's game (is that still a thing?)
Re:No Man's Sky Cosmos on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @07:41PM (#49636212)
Not a single comment here about the actual Cosmos update content?
Re:Do people prefer stories written by AI? on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @10:31AM (#49627278)
It's pseudoscience no matter what, but I'd like to see the results sliced up for an age range of roughly 35-70. I would heavily question the taste and judgment of those outside that range. Or at the very least note that people's personalities will change significantly when entering/exiting that range.

Spinach and almonds.
I feel sorry for the person who draws their exact real-life stats, but dying this year.
Re:Dyson CameraJet electric toothbrush on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @06:00AM (#49534119)
I'm not that extreme, but I somewhat agree. I just want them to make square handle toothbrushes common again. It's impossible to get a good grip and torque on the newer rounded ones when your hands are wet and toothpasty or waxy from floss.
What if you want the sun and moon to notice you?
They can probably already fingerprint you with high confidence even without a static IP address. This is going to give them even more fingerprinting surface.
It should at least notify you and give you the opportunity to cancel the alert within a few seconds
But many false positives lead to a real positive being ignored as a false positive.
Re:OpenClaw deletes Summer Yue's emails on Wednesday February 25, 2026 @11:59AM (#47154199)
Correction: Summer Yue deletes Summer Yue's emails. We don't say "Gun shoots man playing Russian roulette."
Re:Shatner is making an album with 35 metal icons on Monday February 23, 2026 @08:33PM (#47131716)
Guess the Beastie Boys were never in the running.
Re:Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day tied to lower dementia risk on Wednesday February 18, 2026 @01:14PM (#47064197)
I should heavily qualify this by saying that I don't think the study (which I have no access to) measured it this precisely or specifically. I think it was just people reporting roughly how many "cups" per day they drank over 40+ years. I guess I just get annoyed when I see "cups" as a unit of coffee science/health.
Re:Assistant to the Regional Manager on Tuesday February 17, 2026 @06:56PM (#47055218)
Ha, I get it, great Angela impression.
Translating from normie, sounds like 30-50g of beans, assuming a "cup" is 8 floz. and the water:coffee ratio is 15:1. Assuming Arabica, that's 450-750mg of caffeine.
Re:How Is Data Stored? on Sunday February 15, 2026 @01:22PM (#47025996)
how disk get fragment?
And if you just add them to your spam filter, it won't even work easily, because they deliberately shift around the domains and subdomains they send from every so often.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to confidently verify this from the linked material, but aren't they keeping CO2 levels the same during the hypoxic periods? i.e. isn't this significantly different than just holding your breath/being choked/sleep apnea?
Re:After my dad died, we found the love letters on Sunday November 23, 2025 @10:05AM (#46024083)
There is no downvote. There is only flag, and people are hesitant to use it, if it's even available to them in the first place.
