$9K/mo translates to a little over a hundred grand annually. That's not that much in our industry.

This has to be incorrect as I know of several alive people that have been diagnosed as such.

Don't have a stranger here summarize/concatenate them for you

Only CLI users are affected.

They can follow the 4 steps (3 was not optional for me) to remediate.

Looks like this was pulled out of context/proportion a little bit

Your proverb holds up talking about complementary work.

I think the Mythical Man Month specifically refers to piling on workers of the same skill set (i.e. engineers)

This is cool, but beware this takes a long time to complete even with an agent.

And the result I didn't find particularly pretty to look at

Re:The Future of CSS on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @07:30AM (#50179141)
IMHO, a sad and small minded conspiracy theory
Re:The Future of CSS on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:57AM (#50177839)
What does that mean as related to 'competition in the browser space' ?
Re:The Future of CSS on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:21AM (#50177586)
A completely non-sensical non-sequitur. What are you even trying to say?

What does one (CSS tech) even have to do with the other (competition in the 'browser space')?

Re:The Future of CSS on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:06AM (#50177488)
> Windows Forms

Rage bait, don't engage

Basically, its speed and minimal, Mac native UI. Chrome is not a Mac UI and feels bloated.

Ultimately they’re two WebKit browsers one of which feels like a real Mac app.

You want control your home's heating via your TV ?
Menubar -> History -> Reopen Last Closed Tabs
Vague.

I use Safari, and iCloud (or lack thereof) has never been a problem for me.

Apples to oranges.

They're promoting their browser as an alternative to Chrome or Firefox.

You're companing about walled gardens.

I'll ditch Safari the day it starts to look or behave like Chrome

And to suggest a Mode tells me you're not a software maker

It lets you point out a DOM element and it will display:none it for you
How so? AFAIK performance is one of the main focuses of Safari and one of the main distinguishing factors that Apple strives for.

There's a whole chapter on it in Creative Selection (by Ken Kocienda who started the project) on how they were only allowed to release versions as fast or faster than the one before.

To each their own I guess. I hate Chrome and love every single thing about Safari.
