Who says that they're not? Seems all the attention is on Tesla because of a certain someone... In any case telling customers EPA numbers shouldn't be considered a lie.

Social media is definitely worse for girls, but most consumers of porn are boys. In any case, setting clear bounds of interactivity is good and it looks like Apple isn't allowing direct porn experiences on Vision Pro because those apps will available through the app store.

God I hope not... Porn is probably one of the most malicious vices influencing how young people (esp boys) view themselves as shameful and romance as transactional. Technology wise there isn't much to build beyond full games since 360 videos have been around for ages now, just a player would suffice.
Edit: Actually with ai gfs and all that crap there are many dystopian places devs could take this.

If he's going to die why not give him the option to try medicine that is developed by large players with a good reputation? Weighing historical success into the process seems to make sense to me. Beta programs from Google are usually very functional...

I remember a student who doctored his whole CV to get into Harvard (and win awards) was sent to probation: https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2010/12/16/harvard-wheele... Although his case was more egregious.

I'm not really saying we owe them anything just that (some of) their ideas seem to work. I guess a few monarchies have lasted a while but centralizing all the power and leading with dogma is easier than coming to a group consensus. All I really want to say is don't throw out the baby with the bathwater...

You're giving 0 credit where some is due. This is the other side of the extreme. Most government structures don't last that long, the fact that the one they made has lasted relatively in tact for a few hundred years means their ideas have some merit beyond the bounds of their time. Also I'm not sure who you mean by "us", the ruling class of today?

BlazeVox is a publishing company. I guess its still one character away but close enough that it could have just randomly swapped out the character.

What exactly would the end game be? resetting the clock to the middle ages? I don't think this is all planned, I think people underestimate the shortsightedness of governments.
