I think what I’m trying to say is that there are both ways to create art by coding and ways to just make a product for consumption. And I think using AI for said products doesn’t really reduce the meaning of said work.
I think I gave brainfuck as an example because it seems there was a meaning behind it beyond being profitable. The writer had something to say. Does writing something like brainfuck with AI take away its meaning? I’d personally say yes, but that’s an interpretation.
I’d say the brainfuck language on the other hand is art. Hard to draw a fine line as to which is which.
I can say most if not all the projects I’ve ever made land in the former. I’ve made some clever solutions but nothing approaching something with meaning.
Two programs that save their cache in the same folder causes issues.
So the case is, you really need you undo history and want to try out neovim so you just copy paste you vimrc to the new place and accidentally delete your data? I don’t think it’s that bad personally. It’s bound to happen but it’s not automatic.

Nothing is keeping them to this plan other though, I hope they do follow through. That would make the graph on the page misleading in the other direction though as the speed feature would be included in the non plus version.
I want to also say I'm a happy vite user (and the other projects that team makes).

It’s still using turbo rails and doing full ssr reloads. Something very at odds with react router which it’s also loading.
It’s still loading catalyst (their homebrew web component lib) which from what I understand doesn’t seem to offer react bindings. It even loads lit (another web component lib), which I couldn’t find the react bindings for.
If it’s just for the copilot chat I’d still say GitHub is mainly rails based though would love to hear if anyone has any more / better insight.

I read the rough how it works and it now makes sense. I might give it a try. Thanks!
