Instead of being condescending and annoying yourself, did you even try to reference other texts or resources to try to figure those things out? This is a freshman's complaint
Re:Any window from your Mac, on your iPhone and iPad on Friday October 16, 2026 @04:11PM (#50123921)
Even barring the other comments here, phone mirroring sucks. This app is 10x more performant lol
Re:What I Self-Host on Friday October 16, 2026 @12:47PM (#50120830)
I need to check out gonic, thanks for dropping that. Just was wondering since the whole *arr ecosystem seems like it doesn't have any mature alternatives that could cover the whole use case.
Re:What I Self-Host on Friday October 16, 2026 @12:44PM (#50120776)
Yeah ofc you can just rip the media you already own, e.g. Automatic Ripping Machine for physical disks. It's more involved than just drag and dropping files in, but it really is bulletproof once you've got it up and running.

And on "obtaining content you haven't purchased", that content is just another .mkv or .flac file. Doesn't make a difference to your media organizer.

Re:What I Self-Host on Friday October 16, 2026 @12:36PM (#50120640)
What do you run instead of the *arr stack then?
Re:What I Self-Host on Friday October 16, 2026 @12:29PM (#50120491)
How would that app be illegal when its constituent components are 100% legal?
Re:One Oakland police officer made $490k in overtime on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @10:13AM (#49361918)
Do they need to spell it out for you? 'Defund the Police' mentality in politicians means they don't try to improve police staffing -> number of police stays stagnant, even while population is increasing, crime may be increasing w/ the population -> the work doesn't magically disappear, each cop works more hours -> higher pay per-cop, especially with overtime rates Sure, you can dislike the specific numbers here in the bay area (your OP didn't say anything specifically about that btw), but the general principle is very easy to understand
Re:AI is removing the middle class of software engineering on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @01:17PM (#49275722)
Until the VC subsidies stop and the human devs are half the cost of the claude tokens lol
Jesus this is terribly written by AI, what is the point of putting out this slop?

Seconding the other comment, that second one is by far my favorite
Re:Benchmarking Opus 5 on SlopCodeBench on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @10:13AM (#49084210)
Remember https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_emissions_scandal? It's completely believable that benchmark-resembling requests are routes in a favorable manner.

Then what was the point of your comment
Re:Advertise in ChatGPT on Wednesday July 22, 2026 @11:16AM (#49008153)
How do you know that only a consumer that wants what an advertiser is selling would receive an ad for that product?
Re:Jellyfin founder Andrew leaves team on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @09:59AM (#48992458)
Plexamp is still head and shoulders above anything comparable on the jellyfin side.
lmao what point are you even trying to make
Re:Kimi K3 is now live on Friday July 17, 2026 @10:47AM (#48948040)
But surely that's completely different, no? It seems that there are major differences between OSes and LLMs that preclude this comparison, in that an LLM is truly 'just' a tool. You can slot in another to replace it, IDEs and harnesses can handle basically any provider out the box, etc. An OS is not just a tool, its success depends on things like power management/general hardware interaction (requires collaboration with consumer computer manufacturers), what applications are available for it (dependent on third party devs), etc. It does seem that all the LLMs are substitute goods in a way that OSes are not at all.
Lmao if only one could pay lawyers in equity and promissory notes

Re:Chatto is now Open Source on Thursday July 09, 2026 @09:16AM (#48845337)
What does implementing soft-delete have to do with data storage though? If you just set up an S3-compatible backend like the docs offer you then have data persistence out of the box, no?
Re:Chatto is now Open Source on Wednesday July 08, 2026 @01:30PM (#48834732)
Off the bat, it seems that campfire doesn't support voice/video calls. So no, not at all

> "But casting <a> heterosexual white man is representative of the real world. <Who> has all the power in the real world?"

The original comment obviously did in fact try to make a point about heterosexual white men in general. No mention was made of how few there might be, you're in fact the one interjecting new content from somewhere.

How do you figure?
Even if one agreed with that statement, so what?
Check costco/another third party, they still have yesterday's pricing right now
Jesus man, stop spamming your project in this thread

Re:Apple Core AI Framework on Tuesday June 09, 2026 @10:14AM (#48461443)
You've already been able to do that once you convert your model to CoreML, it's only MLX that's never been able to use the ANE.
Re:Apple Core AI Framework on Tuesday June 09, 2026 @10:13AM (#48461432)
This view is a bit off. First, keep in mind that MLX was and will not be able to access the ANE, so it's a total non-starter for anything user-facing. Based on updates to coreml docs, they're trying to sell CoreML as the tool for tabular or domain-specific applications and CoreAI for NNs moving forward.
