That's a yearly price, not monthly, so not really a high price. If a professional developer saves one hour per year with this tool it's already paid for itself.

When I last looked it was free for businesses of 1 person, no Enterprise licence required. But you would still have to pay for sync if needed.

For many products there seems to be a thriving ecosystem on ebay of people taking genuine manufacturer parts, subdividing them, and reselling the smaller individual parts for consumers to use.

Energy harvesting is useful where the power need is very low and changing batteries is inconvenient and/or expensive. So it makes sense where you need to deploy a large network of low power sensors. But ordinary batteries or mains power should be the default choice for most applications.

Sorry I wasn't super clear. I was replying to "the gap between Disney Animation Studios and Pixar has drastically narrowed", and commenting that the reason this happened is because from 2006 it was Pixar management in charge of Disney animation. Ed Catmull and John Lasseter brought over the lessons and management style that they had learned at Pixar and thus changed how Disney animation was run. So for instance they created a Disney "Story Trust" to provide feedback to directors in the same vein as the Pixar "Brain Trust". They also removed an oversight committee at Disney that was charged with keeping all film projects on budget, but in their view was holding back the film-making. i.e. the two studios are not as distinct and independent as it appears people are suggesting.

Disney bought Pixar in 2006 and put Ed Catmull of Pixar and John Lasseter of Pixar in charge of both Disney animation and Pixar.

IIRC Covid reduced emissions by about 7%. Then they went back up.
That's big... but not as big as the 10% reductions we actually need every year

I was an early adopter of Google Search around 2000 when it was better than Altavista. A few years ago I switched to DuckDuckGo. But in the autumn my DDG searches began to have only about 10 results for terms that should have had thousands of results. A couple of months ago I started paying for Kagi search and like it because it's like Google used to be 20 years ago – it shows interesting results.
