Do we possess the technology to place atoms sufficiently close enough to direct euv? Considering the fact euv is already close to the limit of our abilities
Wow and it doesn't open with a picture of their lego server? Wasn't that their first one, 25 years ago?

I disagree, a tight belt will cause the least amount of injury. Look at fall arrest systems.

If you're harness is loose, or your line is slack without an energy absorber, it'll break your back when you fall!

This is really neat, I wonder how hard it would be to retool for Android camera controls. There's an accessory for the iPhone to get physical camera controls, but it's thicc
I would sooner rally against SUV / Truck grills what hide 12 children under their exaggerated height.
Re:Low Cost Robot Arm on Tuesday April 02, 2024 @12:18AM (#39902343)
Wow, I was building a Thor 3D printed arm, and this project looks way better! I think I'm going to Pivot.

Side bar: these servos are a game changer.

Re:What Happens to Google Maps When Tectonic Plates Move? on Saturday March 23, 2024 @10:06PM (#39804566)
Back in the day GPS was intentionally offset so countries couldn't use it for weapons.. well except it's owner of course!
I'm sure my usage would be excessive compared to a normal user, but I find SSDs last 2-3 years on average. I buy Samsung, perhaps that's the real issue
I always wonder if having unlimited money is all it takes. There's only so many excavators in the world, and hiring every single one would probably tank someone's economy
Do you work in this industry?
Re:New car buying guide: the algorithm on Monday February 26, 2024 @05:29AM (#39509614)
What does that process look like?
I like the idea that they care, but cellulose at 10,000km/h is just as deadly as steel
I thought moxie was Orca brewing, is that who Coke bought?
From a layman's perspective, the GOF research that may or may not have caused covid in the first place, never actually yeiled anything useful for the pandemic. I'm pretty pro research, but I haven't seen anything good come from GOF.
TFA won't load for me, does it list the frequency or show spectragraphs?
Another one is measuring with football fields! We can't resist doing it, nor can we resist complaining about it
With a healthy dose of AG chemicals!
I've emailed my local MP about this, she voted for it. Really troubling, and no one I know has even heard about this bill!
Re:Workers who cut countertops are dying of silicosis on Sunday September 24, 2023 @01:28PM (#37635164)
"it is what it is" plus having a hungry family to feed?
As of a year ago, the major university I worked at still does this
Trying this out, I'll report back in a couple weeks!
Yeah I renovated my home to SFGate code
Perhaps when you slide the rotor past the stator lamination, it demagnetises it a bit? Like those screwdriver demagnetizers
What was the name of the site, if you don't mind me asking?
Re:South Africa Asks J&J, Pfizer to Stop Sending Vaccines on Sunday November 28, 2021 @11:54AM (#29370459)
Wouldn't this system be gamed when it hit sufficiently large enough?

The more I think about it the more I realise that news is mostly a tool for "propaganda". It really doesn't serve much purpose in ones life beyond that

Re:The Unceasing Cessna Hacienda on Friday October 29, 2021 @01:16AM (#29035392)
I did my time in a 99 Corolla, it's doable but gross
Could you describe what size of optical telescope you'd need to put in space to read the date on a dime? I'm very curious
Re:English as She Is Spoke on Friday January 15, 2021 @06:52PM (#25798252)
Supposedly a lot of the crazy Cardiacs lyrics were inspired by this book
Re:3D printing boats is becoming standard practice on Monday December 21, 2020 @01:57AM (#25492708)
I wonder how water tight these are in practice. Small scale FDM prints aren't airtight, and are questionably watertight. For something like a sailboat that floats in the water it's whole life, even a small leak can be a problem.
What a good rule to live ones life by!
