24 years in software, nine at Google on BigQuery and Spanner, now focused on making AI features work reliably against real databases. Current project: a test harness for RAG pipelines. One finding so far: standard lag monitoring can look healthy while thousands of chunks are missing. Interested in scoped projects: data infrastructure for AI and RAG, CDC and replication, database reliability.
