Why is the consequence account suspension? We know the value these accounts can have and that moderators do not always get it right.
Unless, the user has a history of bad behavior, the consequence should be flagging and hiding the content before warning the user.
LinkedIn is one of the social media with a more sensible policy by following the latter.

I don't know how good it is, but there is a company called RemObjects Elements http://www.elementscompiler.com/elements/ which cross compile Windows (.NET), Android (Java), iOS (Object C / Swift), Linux/Android (C++).
Re:Cancelable Promises: Why was this proposal withdrawn?

The way to handle this case is to use Promise.race with 2 promises. The first promise is your logic. The second promise is rejected after a timeout. For more detail read the section "never calling the callback" from "you don't know js" book on "async" in chapter 3

Have you considered some of the good ideas of Robert Clayton Miller (watch the video http://10gui.com/video/)?
I particularly like how you can switch from one application to another by scrolling horizontally and then resizing the window's width as you need. Furthermore, the additional gestures with 3 and 4 fingers provide additional information bandwidth.
These ideas might solve some of the problems others in this thread have been pointing out.
