Re:Use YouTube to improve your English pronunciation on Monday October 30, 2023 @04:32PM (#38075367)
I guess it leverages LLMs to do semantic search on YouTube audio dataset?
Re:Is technical analysis just stock market astrology? on Tuesday July 25, 2023 @02:22PM (#36867003)
Everything is wrong about this article. TA is just an indicator of market psychology, automating trades based on setups (sma) is a nonsense for a trader as it doesn't include execution which is the most important part. No trading bot have performed better than human traders, ever. Bot doesn't have glut feelings.
ChatGPT already spread fake news. Everything is fake news, even my current assumption.
Re:Train Your AI Model Once and Deploy on Any Cloud on Saturday July 08, 2023 @12:35PM (#36646032)
Following a juicy trend doesn't mean you believe in it, also gpu mining is not a thing anymore in crypto. Nvidia has nothing to bring to cryptos.
Re:Train Your AI Model Once and Deploy on Any Cloud on Saturday July 08, 2023 @08:19AM (#36643673)
Very naive to think profit oriented company have beliefs and convictions... Religion of money is way stronger.
Re:Web-based cryptography is always snake oil on Sunday June 25, 2023 @08:03AM (#36467317)
How about delegating to a third party to solve centralization issue?
I can imagine obvious use cases for data surveillance, osint and so on But happy to see implementation of a semantic search engine powered by LLM
Cryptos aren't dependent on CEX to work, your analogy is wrong.
Re:Let us serve you, but don't bring us down on Monday May 29, 2023 @08:43AM (#36113396)
Would it be possible to use bitcoin pow as a replacement for captcha? It both blocks ddos and create an income through mining (client side) for the host.
Good point, had the same analyze.
Was thinking the same
Interesting point of view but life is not deterministic. There might be a probability higher than zero for 1+1 to be different than 2. Logic is based on beliefs.
Who regulates the regulators of regulators?
Re:We're Afraid Language Models Aren't Modeling Ambiguity on Friday April 28, 2023 @05:28AM (#35739200)
Just train them intensively on ambiguity to solve the issue.
Re:GitHub Copilot emits GPL code on Friday April 21, 2023 @05:35PM (#35660530)
I don't mind about anti violation licence value proposal, I want to know if it works better than gh copilot? As it is free so I could switch to it.
So what? Old species die and new species born. Its just nature...
Re:Not by AI on Thursday March 16, 2023 @10:26AM (#35182417)
Stupid purpose, made by AI or not shouldn't matter. What matters is creativity and if as human you can't beat AI's then you should question yourself.
Re:LLaMA-7B in Pure C++ with full Apple Silicon support on Friday March 10, 2023 @03:58PM (#35100936)

Tldr? Please
Tech industry let these actors have too much power, they can cut any business at their will. Web3 is the answer, I hope it is. Matter of time before they get replaced.
AI will allow humanity to produce more intelligence with less (less labour) thus more spare-time for humankind. Like industrial revolution and mechanism did during the 19th century. Probably grey mirrorish though.
Re:Service Mesh Use Cases on Saturday February 11, 2023 @11:14AM (#34753600)
I think it is named Blue-green deployments in the article
Re:Service Mesh Use Cases on Saturday February 11, 2023 @11:08AM (#34753534)
I thought service mesh main use case was to reduce time to production delivery, allowing hotfixes to be much more reactive. Am I totally wrong?
Re:Ask HN: How do you save and browse external interesting URLs? on Saturday February 11, 2023 @07:06AM (#34751630)
I take structured notes with Obsidian, then add a backlink to the resource. No bookmarking anymore because there's a probability of exactly 0% that I ever click on bookmarked resource again. Google indexes content, so you should index your own with obsidian and add semantic research on top.
I think there's a difference between consuming low value information like Tiktok content and spending hours on Wikipedia. I have the same addiction because my nature is to be curious and introspective, I won't get around that. Without internet I would be a bookworm and addict to librairies. My hack if it can help you is not to consume less information but consume more by filter a lot to keep only high value content, using AI to summarize text and audio, listening at x2 speed and always taking notes. If I don't, I feel my focus was a waste and that I won't ever capitalize on this high value information by making it a knowledge. We are just world explorers and this game has no end, I chose to explore faster.
