Any alternatives folks can recommend? I myself am considering switching from protonmail to fastmail.
I’m looking for something hassle-free and “not google”.
Both planes were developed by Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works.
What are some reasons to pick Sublime Text over Zed for someone not familiar with either?
Prisoner’s dilemma: margins are razor thin. If your fellow farmers use better seeds then you are forced to use them as well. Otherwise you won’t be able to match their prices without selling at a loss.
Who designs a signaling system where a ‘major disruption’ can be caused by a jumper cable applied at any point along potentially hundreds of kms? What about resiliency and fallbacks for something that critical?
Fear not! I’m sure the European Commission will promptly ban jumpstart cable ownership without a license.
Anecdotally not in Berlin, Rome, or Dublin.
The big bet is that the LLMs will get good enough to invent new frameworks or even branches of math. I hope it pans out. Otherwise we will get stuck in a local maximum for a while.
On the positive side We won’t get the cars, but our horses will be damn fast ;)
> Debian is a large and complicated project: the release announcement for version 13 says it has 69,830 packages, which take a total of 403 GB of disk, and contain 1,463,291,186 lines of code. So, suitably, it is a large and complex poll.
Surely these are not just Debian-owned packages. Whatever Debian decides won’t apply to packages not owned by Debian
I started noticing a lot less annoying stuff like that after reducing my caffeine intake and overall stress level.
And Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Airlines until 2022
> it must still undergo scrutiny by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.
I wonder what exactly that means. I hope the European Parliament won’t have to waste time voting on this.
I’d love to crowdfund this.
I’ve been on a hunt for a perfect blank t shirt. After trying 10 different models either the fit or the material is not up to my standard.
I wonder how automatable manufacturing of T-Shirts is. Not sure if it is possible to automate sewing on a collar for example. Plus from what I’ve read a tubular t shirt is worse than front and back sewed at the sides cause it tends to stretch and rotate in one direction with time.
Anyway: continuous knitting is more automatable but introduces limitations just like injection moulding does. But the benefit of having a perfect fit might outweigh those limitations.
What’s your take on all of this?
To calculate +/- 3/6/9 months I shift by seasons. 3rd month of summer becomes 3rd month of winter.
That works well cause all months live in a primitive memory palace in my head: an analogue clock face with July at 12 and January at 6. So shifting by 6 means rotating the clock hand from 11 to 5 and immediately visualising what month it falls on.
This might sound inefficient to an LLM but human brains had image processing before language.
Ukrainian P1-Sun interceptor FPVs were built specifically for this purpose. They are way cheaper than a Shaheed drone and have a practical ceiling of 5000+ meters according to wikipedia.

Those goals can be achieved in parallel.

Oh wow: it was more expensive than MacBook Air
> Not since the polycarbonate MacBook’s retirement in 2011 has there been a notebook in Apple’s lineup with a lower price point than the MacBook Air
Wasn’t the 12-inch MacBook (2015-2017) exactly that? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-inch_MacBook
Google recently released a smartphone without a camera bump: Pixel 10a.
Which approaches do you think work well?
Would shutting down the game server for good be considered property damage then?
As an example loitering munition with foldable wings is already fairly compact. 2x storage space savings might not justify assembly space and effort
Checklists that I use in personal life:
- Office packing list. A “do-check” checklist that takes 20s to run through right before leaving home
- Checklists for multi-day business and leisure trips
- Home maintenance checklist for filters, drains and other things that require regular maintenance.
What price did Turkey pay for shooting down a Russian military plane on their territory?
And Teslas use conventional breaks for the last few mph. But I never feel that transition from regen to friction brakes.
I always knew Vista was a window into hell
France’s high speed trains have a dedicated network of tracks. They don’t have to share those tracks with regional and cargo trains.
