Thanks, you are correct. I tried again a few hours later from home (about 50 miles away from my initial test) and it locked within 30 seconds.

Edit: I've had it plugged into my MBP to charge for about 35 minutes and it still said 80%. After turning it completely off and back on fixed this (now says 100%).

Edit2: I really wish I could play music via bluetooth with this.

I spent about 8 hours using this today. Some notes.

+ It does feel heavy at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

+ I plugged it in to charge and it seemed to be stuck at 80%. This may be because of the port I was using so I can't lay blame on Band.

+ The charging mechanism is solid and feels great.
+ I keep wanting to swipe the screen to turn it on (you need to press the "home" button).

+ I went for a 1.5 mi run. It took *4 minutes* to lock in GPS. This is in a fairly populated area, but the I was kind of in the woods. My iPhone has zero issues locking into GPS.

+ It mirrors all my notifications from my iPhone which I love.

+ After running, I went straight to Starbucks and tried to pay with the band but failed because the screen does not respond to sweaty fingers. This is partly my fault.

+ Haven't detected any UV yet.

  + HR locking is quick.

I have an espresso before running or working out and Starbucks turns out to be cheapest and most convenient.

Granted, I never have any of their blended offerings which they're known for.

Mine was delivered in early September and doesn't have the sensors. Check for the parking sensors more on the side of your bumpers and for a camera underneath the rear view mirror. I believe many cars built mid September have the sensors built in, and yours should too.

Prices seem to be going up. I ordered a week supply yesterday off of their crowdtilt for $65 (3 meals/day => 21 servings) and the same is now $85 on this site. It is still available[1] so may want to save money while you can?

In Safari, you can tap the address bar and hold down on the url to bring up the pointer and scroll over to whatever you want to edit/copy. It's the same behavior in Chrome on iOS7 (apart from the fact that the pointer is at the beginning of the URL in Safari and in the end in Chrome, which albeit, is preferable).
Re:Google Wallet Card on Monday November 25, 2013 @04:14PM (#6797066)
I was an avid GW user back when I had the Nexus S but since then, none of my phones have had NFC so I was pretty excited about this announcement. I would use GW, and it would go ahead and charge my credit card, no fees. But if I am understanding correctly, that functionality is no longer there? Must I "add" funds (and incur this fee) to maintain my previous use case?

Adding money to Wallet Balance from credit or debit card 2.9% fee with a $0.30 minimum

Handing over your card to the waiters is standard in the US. You are basically trusting the waiter to not skim/copy the card. In the case that it is skimmed, the fraud policies I've experienced are very favorable to the consumer.

I was surprised to see in Quebec City that all the stores/restaurants had portable card machines they brought to you. That does make a lot more sense to me.
