Man, the media himself, huh? That guy has to keep his story straight.

The GameBoy Pocket had a really shockingly crisp screen with very deep blacks. The original GameBoy was quite blurry, especially when scrolling.
The dots are indeed called umlauts, at least in English:

Like, for instance, thousands of miles through the desert?

Or are only sea voyages from Europe harrowing enough?

Don't mind me, just unintentionally submitting an amicus brief to a pedophile's plea deal. Totally accidental, could have happened to any linguist.
>if you can afford it

We can't, that's why we're moving. It's not to get away from "elements", like prior generations. It's simply too expensive to raise a family in the city. Not to mention, if you moved into the city, your family support structure is likely to be back home.

Ghjattu-volpe is a noun-noun compound, not a noun-adjective pair. Cat-fox is correct.

This is all extremely debunked. The "Dr. Mews" quoted in the article lost his license to practice in the UK, largely on the basis of these claims.

Sure, but we evolved to live on land, and opposable thumbs, far before we developed civilization. Meanwhile, cranial volume continued to expand long after e.g. thumbs.

I think the parent comment holds.

They'll be using the Citi Building, which is a few minutes' walk from the stations you cited.
It's the 7, G, E, M, R, N, and W. Queens and Queensboro Plazas are only a couple blocks from the Citi building. I agree though - this happening during the L train shutdown will absolutely nuke the G. The E and 7 are already at capacity. The M and R have a good bit of room, though. As for the N and W, they also still have a good bit of capacity, it's just a shame, because rents in Astoria were just starting to go down a bit :/

There's not a ton of civilian craft cruising about at nearly Mach 2.
No, both Neanderthals and humans are generally believed to have each evolved from Homo habilis separately, and then later interbred to varying degrees in various locales.
Re:Great Vowel Shift on Friday April 06, 2018 @04:11PM (#16776947)
I'm aware of this, however he specifically mentioned a weak sound in "sukiyaki" which is due to de-voicing the /i/.
Re:Great Vowel Shift on Friday April 06, 2018 @02:55PM (#16776226)
Japanese de-voices vowels in certain contexts adjacent to voiceless consonants. The weakness you're describing is the lack of voicing (vocal cords vibrating).

Your first two symptoms are literally the textbook definition of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsessive%E2%80%93compulsive_d...

Number 3 may be as well; I'm not that familiar with OCD.

That was only the case until 2013 or so. Modern Atoms are vulnerable.
MS-13 is around in some isolated pockets on Long Island. About 1100 identified members total in Nassau and Suffolk, though not all are active. Generally stick to El Salvadoran neighborhoods in certain large-ish communities.

Re:Gerrymandering with geographically compact districts on Tuesday December 19, 2017 @03:59PM (#15964200)
The Republic of Ireland's constitution guarantees a member of the Dáil (Lower Parliamentary house; similar to the US House of Representatives) for every 20-30,000 people, and districts are redrawn and reapportioned frequently.

This seems to be a pretty ideal number to me - it's about the size of the township I grew up in. Many people in their district would have personal ties to their representative, as a further detriment to attempts at lobbying/corruption.

The US constitution used to have a similar provision, but this was abandoned by the ammendment process in the late 1920's.
