In my team I have a policy to not depend on Google, apart from obviously, Android.

Their KTLO on every product is absolute poo — will take an MS equivalent any day of the week.

This is very common in India, especially in the Parsi community.

There's Screw-wala, Tyre-wala, Daaru-wala/vala (Daaru in some Indian languages is drinkable alcohol), Ganja-wala (Ganja is weed), so on and so forth.

The suffix "Wala" means a sort of ownership or such. So an Ice-cream vendor, in some Indian languages, would be "Ice cream wala". Same with a Tyre-store owner, Tyre-wala. And these surnames took after the trades their families were involved in. So the local pub owner's surname became Daaru-wala.

It is toxic. Two kinds of people actually do survive there, those who can out-toxicate the environment and the ones blissfully ignorant.
Ex-Infosys guy here. It's just the mid-level managers are clueless. So their best shot is appeasing clients. I was lucky to have a manager for a while who knew his stuff and he did push back on irrational demands pretty systematically.
Is this a chrome API or chromium API? For the later case we have Chromium Edge(https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com), which is just as good! If it's chromium API then Microsoft may actually end up taking a fork off chromium codebase right away and decide to keep that alive.
