If one existed, it will probably be like: children under 18 using the internet without parent permission, but then that doesn't do much. They are not guns which you might not ever use. Many people use it daily.
Re:The Most Unlikely School Bag on Sunday May 31, 2026 @11:55PM (#48352449)
I'm one person how used it for 6 years, and let me to state something that wasn't mentioned. A average family will keep using one bag untill junior-high school. So what? If you buy a bright red or pink bag as a pure 6/7 year old boy, and some how your parents had a Idea not to stop you, your doomed in the age of around 10 begging your parents to buy a new one. Very unpractical. There is not a bit of benefit at all.
You can't change the RAM, so using it as a student, and then use it as a reliable sub pc in the future might make it last long.
It sounds like a perfect idea on paper until you notice that junior devs will not be able to learn about stable code. Unless AI get's good enough to write stable code, or good enough that no human has to look in the code, the next generation will face a bigger problem than now. Well it's AI that started it so let's make AI take responsibility... Oh they can't. Now what?

I don't recall that there is a situation that you can turn on gaming RGB on your head. Someone suddenly starting to shine is as bad as keep shining. It's just either stealing everyone's concentration near you or give a jump scare to how ever was unlucky to look at your direction when you turned it on.
Re:Googlebook on Tuesday May 12, 2026 @09:57PM (#48116948)
Yeah it's a helpful and useful tool. It's the people who use it in annoying ways and marketing pushing it too much. It's natural for people to think like that. It's strange being there. Isn't exception a word that describes it well?

LLMs said quintessential what?
Re:Programming Still Sucks on Friday May 08, 2026 @02:03AM (#48059186)
Wow some story. I forgot time reading it. It's fiction, Right?...
Yeah my bad. I was the getting bullied side of students, but the current punishments are something that should be ended.
Seems like they just get what they did. To be honest, I think it should be less milder.
Re:Komai: a fine Matrix chat app you can get to love on Thursday May 07, 2026 @11:52PM (#48058341)
Vibe coding isn't bad. It's those people who do all there coding(?) with it and post it like it's there creation is the problem.

Sad I can't read Italian. I would like to know how the original non-translated version is like.

Re:Going Full Time on Open Source on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @10:44PM (#48044827)
All these positive reviews really makes me wonder. Maby I should use Mise. The creator looks like he's really in it. Starting it now might be a good option.
Yeah I could too(not know though...). Trying to sleep, and knowing your parents are watching TV in the living room few doors away isn't the best experience.
Re:Google has a secret reference desk on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @09:42PM (#48044405)
It works some time. The problem is that you need it to actually search what you want, and it just ignores it every now and then.
"destroyed the shareware model". You know that they only sell games, and just have the games that they made in the list too(them just being amazing and popular). It's not some easy task as recovering old systems when there are every type of games imaginable. Even if valve made a option to do that, no one will since other companies don't do anything like that.
Side effect: All your cards look cool.
Re:I spent years trying to make CSS states predictable on Friday April 24, 2026 @02:25AM (#47886334)
I can agree that CSS is really unpredictable. However ,not being able to put CSS in a file isn't a small change. It makes other people to read the code harder, and mixing css and js just doesn't feel right. But just to keep my self safe, I know how people reacted to react at first. This might be normal in the future. Maybe.
Re:A quick look at Mythos run on Firefox: too much hype? on Friday April 24, 2026 @02:05AM (#47886196)
I agree. Even if it is a little pain to read, it's still an information worth knowing and an actual humans opinion(at least I hope). There's no reason to be skeptical if it isn't a famous news site or something.
Re:Show HN: Backlit Keyboard API for Python on Tuesday April 21, 2026 @10:36PM (#47858143)
I will love to use it. Will all keyboards with linux compatibility work?
"Claude Code can’t write UNIVAC assembly yet" Who knew. It's hard just to look for data on the internet(besides wikipedia).
Re:Changes to GitHub Copilot Individual Plans on Tuesday April 21, 2026 @09:05PM (#47857340)
Me too. Claude isn't the best option when all you do is ask "what's this error message", every 10 minutes or so.
Re:Edit store price tags using Flipper Zero on Tuesday April 21, 2026 @08:32PM (#47856982)
This is cool and all, but how am I supposed to test it? Get permission at a local store? No way they will let me do it.
Re:Laws of Software Engineering on Tuesday April 21, 2026 @08:22PM (#47856872)
I just wish if this was a requirement to get a job. Everyone needs to know this.
