Look into a Squatty Potty. An extension that is basically a stool to help you raise your feet and knees into a more squatted position to help defecate into the toilet. Or just bring a wide stool to the toilet with you that raises the same.
Re:Atlassian announces new logo on Monday September 11, 2017 @12:43PM (#15219875)
That new logo looks like fingertips.

Does this mean they've also done away with all caps on JIRA? Or was that changed a while ago?

Noticed a local coworking space added a coffee bar and small brewery as well as a open mic platform area. From that it appears as though it's heading the reverse of where cafes ended up being co-working spaces from those sipping a latte for six hours.

Coworking spaces don't feel comfortable enough to even work at in the first place. It's as noisy as a coffee shop, but at least you have a desk you might not get the next day.

Re:We Hired a Blind Coder on Saturday June 11, 2016 @07:23PM (#11885869)
Speaking of, The Changelog #206 https://changelog.com/206/ just put out one with a blind programmer as well, "This week on the show we talk with Parham Doustdar, a blind programmer. We talked about the advantages of being a blind programmer, the tools he uses, quitting school, carving your own path, and more."
The polish, the forums at least, are probably due to using what looks like Discourse to power the discussions.

Maybe they're fine using a sticker, a sticky note (or Post-its), or even just with unplugging it if they're using an external webcam.

You've already given out the news, it's the film that comes at 11.
Some already using it in the wild include:

Re:Developer quits GitHub due to harassment on Saturday March 15, 2014 @12:17AM (#7403489)
That post is more about audiences who, when men and women talk and cuss the same, are shocked, wilting like flowers. They expect the women to be sweet, dainty and lady-like.

The whole of: When men cuss on stage, they're commanding. When women cuss on stage, they're unprofessional.

The community, not moderators, closed the question. The community also had an answer based on "Pure speculation" which means they can't replicate what the OP asked.

A user can gift all the free interesting content they want. But if it's not scoped or on topic, then it's not scoped for the site or on topic and would be closed and/or deleted. Just because Rodney Dangerfield turns up to your bedroom and starts making jokes doesn't mean it's the time or place.

If all your searches are "which language is better?", "what IDE should I use?" and "what is already in the documentation that I should consider a hidden feature?" then yes, it will be closed as off topic.
Re:What are the lesser known but useful data structures? on Saturday January 18, 2014 @11:46PM (#7083412)
No, you don't get any points for making edits unless you're under 2000, and even then it has to be robo-approved blindly by three other users.
Re:What is your best programmer joke? on Friday January 10, 2014 @10:38AM (#7037104)
Of the 20+ pages already there, no one has yet posted the funny one from xkcd or Dilbert. No other site on the Internet can put these two sources together like Stack Overflow can.
Re:What is your best programmer joke? on Friday January 10, 2014 @10:35AM (#7037078)
No one's complaining about the lack of cat photos and memegenerator links on Hacker News, but here we are again decrying Stack Overflow trying to keep its signal to noise ratio high.

The historical lock is an appeasement for those who like to binge on candy all day long and not realise a site built on 90% candy is no place for quality.

You're laying bets all over the place. How about putting forth a cogent argument why these type of questions need to reside on Stack Overflow and not on reddit or Hacker News?

So "flag for moderator attention" means what to you?
Re:Why I no longer contribute to Stack Overflow on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @04:21PM (#6992911)
Asking about the colour of the bikeshed always draws more upvotes and views than a question asking why the screws buckle and eject when the outside temperature reaches 30C but only if the interior is 21C.

Popularity does not mean a question is within the scope of the site guidelines.

Re:Why I no longer contribute to Stack Overflow on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @03:08PM (#6992553)
A typical day's queue of flags on Stack Overflow is around 1000. If your flag isn't tended to the minute it's raised, it's going to be because of the 900 or so others already there taking up time from having to verify the flag reason is correct in the first place.
Re:Why I no longer contribute to Stack Overflow on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @12:52PM (#6991757)
Reading the other comments here, a lot of people think mods are those with 2k. Or at least those with edit privileges.
Re:Why I no longer contribute to Stack Overflow on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @10:47AM (#6990996)
In four years you should have learnt that it's "Stack Overflow" with a space and that you can only get moderator status when you have a diamond next to your name.

Then again, there are plenty of 3-year+ users with 100k+ who still think moderators are any other users who disagree with them and/or can only vote to close a question.

When you don't want to see the effects of leaving joke questions around as more and more users use that as a reason to increase the noise, then you don't want to see why moderation and locking/deleting needs to take place.

Where is the page on payment terms? Is there one? Unless you have it buried in the Terms.
Re:Hacker News comments I'm tired of seeing on Monday September 02, 2013 @10:36AM (#6315328)
Just another example of the overzealous moderation on Stack Overflow to close any and every question ever asked because it in some way managed to be useful to anyone but their narrow minded view of what constitutes a programming question that didn't fit their formula of Q&A.

People with OCD are not the same as germaphobes. They may overlap, but it's not the same group.
Re:Explore what is Trending on GitHub on Tuesday August 13, 2013 @10:06PM (#6209592)
Must have been updated since as they posted at the bottom of the post,

"What makes repositories or developers trend? We look at a variety of data points including stars, forks, commits, follows, and pageviews, weighting them appropriately. It's not just about total numbers, but also how recently the events happened."

Jon Bernthal. Whose character was already outliving what the creators were planning.
