The TSA is partly responsible for huge numbers of people refusing to visit the U.S. for business or recreation. Think of all the U.S. cities, counties, and states spending money to get people to visit, yet many people think, "Get on a plane and allow my daughter or wife to be molested? No thanks."
Touching another person's genitals without permission is sexual assault, and many people will not put themselves in that predicament.

I always thought that the purpose of the scanners was to catch currency entering and leaving the country, not to catch terrorists.

I've read that in some countries, a single person with a cell phone can act as a money transfer office for an entire village. Here's how:
1. A friend or family member in the U.S. wants to send $50 to someone in the village. The friend buys a $50 prepaid minutes card and transfers the minutes to the cell phone in the village.
2. The cell phone owner in the village checks his minutes, sees that he now has $50 worth of minutes and gives $50 to the person the minutes were for, minus his fee.
It's amazing how ingenious people can be when you let them.

Hackers need intuitive design tools. Nothing's more intuitive than drawing with a pen on some cards. No commands to remember.

The U.S. government takes extreme interest in all alternative currency schemes. Google "e-gold" for more information. There are two areas of human experience all governments consider their own domain: the use of force and the creation of currency.
