Sounds good, doesn’t work. Never will. Life is cruel, brutal competition. Ideal utopia like that is a fragile, forced state. Violence, hardships, is like energy and complexity. Can’t be eliminated. It can be suppressed only to find it pops out somewhere else.
If a cashier finds out they can make a decent living more will want to be cashier and the cashiers will have less leverage, less salary because they are dime a dozen. This is the reality of this treacherous world.
First worlders offload their less desirable work to poorer 2nd class immigrants, poorer countries. Like it or not, all well intentioned Tesla owning, apartment owning, software engineers are there because someone else in society do the dirty work for them with low pay, indirectly.
All of these compiler/transpiler related projects, especially for big mainstream language like TypeScript seems like a full time job, more so than any other open source initiatives. You need to keep up with the spec, constantly read the source codes, etc. Kudos to those who are providing their time to do this.

I don’t do botany but aquascapes (underwater gardening) I generally learn from:
- books, just search it on amazon
- youtube tutorials
Then I try to practice it, trial and error while subscribing to various forums like Reddit, plantedtank, barreport, facebook groups for troubleshootings
TypeScript is amazing though. I’d sell my soul to Microsoft for TypeScript lol.
Jokes aside, there are compile to JS languages that are really good and open source like ReScript.

Anecdata, I’ve some students from Columbia in my circles. While they aren’t the brightest of the bunch they certainly are some of the wealthy ones. One student actually admitted that she chose Columbia just for the prestige, even when she has to pay $200k.
Maybe that’s the goal? Then the system is working as intended.
De-globalization will slow down economy, human activities, resulting in less pollution, less production. As long as there are no world wars, or any war for that matter, I'm all for de-globalization.

Picture me this. Imagine You are a foreigner that has software engineering skills but not good enough (emphasis) to compete with the cream of the crop that commands high salary. I.e you are the bottom of the barrel. You can’t afford a property where you live. You can’t afford shit where you live because your society is expensive.
Then you have this bright idea of “oh let me go to another cheaper country and get the benefit of their cheaper society but still command high salary”.
And you still don’t want to pay tax in that country.
Foreigners like these need to be ban 10000%. Losers that can’t compete in their home country and still don’t want to pay taxes everywhere they live.

I guess it depends on the definition of rich and famous. How rich? How famous?
These two doesn't come alone. They come with their own baggage as well. Being rich will make you, and your family targeted, either by criminals, by "friends and families", or by the government. Being famous is tiring. You constantly need to pander with people that you don't know, with papparazis, with friends of friends of friends, people constantly looking to network. Being famous without being rich is even worse. You just get death threats, hate mail, etc without the financial means to fend off those.
I want to be rich enough so that I don't have to worry about the future or I can do any work I want without worrying about money, for example, creating music, working on a hobby, etc.
I want to be famous enough so that the people that I care remember who I was, who I am, and who I will be, even when I am no longer in their lives, and live across the world.
They want obedient employees. Make sense.
I've known people who got into Google who shouldn't be there. They don't have good DS&A knowledge enough to pass the interviews, but they passed anyway (hint: diversity and inclusion). They also said that they frequently do nothing all day, just collect paycheck.
