Re:Can Substrate disrupt ASML using particle acceleration? on Wednesday October 29, 2025 @08:35PM (#45755008)
We know it can't be used in a fab because the mask in EUV scanners is in a hydrogen ambient to protect the optics and masks whereas the synchrotron is in a perfect vacuum. Now EUV has tons of problems with stochastics and as the wavelength decreases these errors increase. Second 13.5nm has optics with highest reflectivity which lower or higher wavelengths do not. It was tried by IBM but it failed and many in IBM and AMD's lithography team ended up at ASML.
I do wonder about your opinions on the Impoundment control act. Should the president withhold money allocated by Congress?
So according to you any country with a strong civil service is racist. Maybe you are unfamiliar with modern governance or norms.
1. Apple moved production to India to avoid Indian tariffs so as to sell it to Indians. Initially the factory only made iphones for Indians. 2. Tariffs revenue will stabilize once they are set and revenue can easily fall. 3. Democrats are for free trade since the FDR administration, Biden was an exception not the norm for democrats. 4. JD Vance has to win first, he is not charismatic or funny like Trump.
Those jobs require a ton of college education. Atleast as far as I know TSMC only allows PhDs on lithography and etching machines. And Apple smartphone manufacturing is nearly automated and most of the required personnel are engineers.
I am in India with friends in their last year in college. Hiring is effectively ice cold. Companies like TCS, Infosys wouldn't come to his college but now do. I just want to say good luck, these projects and products are on autopilot with no hiring in India and layoffs everywhere.
Any benchmark and comparisons?
I would argue that SCOTUS tells congress to make a better and more clear law, but Congress never makes one. H4 is not important for big tech as hypothetically speaking partners can stay apart in different countries for the term of the visa. Though imo H4 has more abusers of the program than h1b.

I just don't see how this doesn't get exploited and result in a huge hack with a few billions in losses. The ransomware threat is extremely huge.
These guys keep threating to burn down everything. Honestly I wonder what kind of disaster will wake Congress up from hibernation. These guys are claiming to find fraud but they have no auditors. The hubris is insane. Though as someone who identifies as Gen Z, I can say that the arrogance is expected. They will not doubt be sued by contractors who will demand compensation for contracts signed. Let's get ready for a showdown.
wholemarscatalog is a completely unreliable. Show me the source. Dude is a tesla shill.

Indirect research cost is not spent on admin.

Advocating for political interference in the Fed is a new low.

If any modernization is yo be done. It should be done by any trustworthy and reputable. Not someone who brags about credentials.

Sorry but the spoils state is called corruption and is totally bad in all forms. If you want to curtail the so called administrative agency then the parties have to win elections by dicisive margins. Or the president and judiciary can force Congress to pass laws.
Bias(statistics), polarization (physics), inclusion (math), and many more.

And some athletes can invest their own money. I think players for GSW invested a lot in tech.
Funny, very funny. Oil companies are refusing his request to drill more. They are not interested in political theatre.
EU holds all the cards here. Aws and azure have everything to lose. Europe has competitors but the offerings are fragmented between different companies. If they come together then yes they can have replacement for most users. Most users don't need bleeding edge features. Painful but can be done. Definitely not impossible.

I hate how paper titles are worded like seo techniques.
I know this this might sound scripted or can be considered cliche but what is the use case for DBOS.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @01:37PM (#42453416)
TPU support is very minimal. Also XLA just does not compare to CUDA yet.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @12:44PM (#42452846)
See I absolutely dislike this thought that hyperscalars can easily beat nvidia. It is not their domain of expertise. Tpu are not where near GPU in performance. People really underestimate Nvidia's expertise and strengths.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @12:41PM (#42452815)
Also TPU v1,v2 and v3 were ASICs, but since v4 they have added some new features so they have a lower performance/watt which is quite near Nvidia's power draw. I think Hopper is at 700W and TPU are around 600W.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @12:39PM (#42452784)
They are overhyped and not as performant as Nvidia regardless of marketing.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @12:38PM (#42452772)
Meta is Nvidia shop for training and AMD for inferencing. Strict seperation between vendors.
Re:Microsoft acquires twice as many Nvidia AI chips as tech rivals on Wednesday December 18, 2024 @12:37PM (#42452758)
Meta is still GPUs. Amazon Trainium 1 was a failure and is trying an upgrade with Trainium 2. Google is a TPU shop but still busy GPUs for cloud.
With what hardware? These PQC standards are still slow and definitely not ready for deployment.
Re:Meta's MySQL Fork You Never Knew About on Tuesday December 17, 2024 @02:11PM (#42444259)
I would honestly love to see a full documentation and history of MySQL use a Meta considering it is the largest MySQL shop in the world. Would honestly give soo many small tricks and ideas.
