I agree, but believe we’re now in a regressive society, moving as fast as we can to repeat history, investing vast resources into effortless propaganda machines.
How often would municipal data centers need to upgrade/replace hardware? What impact would that have on local tax levy rates?
Would you choose to relocate your family to the next town over because they have more available RAM?
I’ve said some pretty obscene things to Siri out of frustration and haven’t gotten arrested yet.
Trump is cancelling rallies left and right in key states as we speak, because he has put himself and “that Hitler shit” on the midterm ballot, and it’s not going well.
The man claims he doesn’t know who David Duke or the KKK is, like we’re all that stupid.
All while he sends Americans to die in Iran for “nuclear weapons” while ignoring North Korea’s heist of $5B in crypto to do the same. Giving Russia billions of U.S. tax dollars for a few days worth of diesel just prolongs the Ukrainian defense against their invasion.
How’s the national debt cost per American trending since the start of the 2nd term? Has the massive taxpayer funded budget increase been worth ICE detaining 500 American citizens and killing at least three citizens without any shred of accountability?
You may be right that 75% of ~50% of voters approve, but the negligent spending without accountability will only be allowed to go so far. Fiscal conservatives will step in when their stock prices tank.
I’d wager that most of their current customers have left something else to sign up for Proton in the first place, because of the privacy and security offering.
When Proton leadership abandons those values in favor of “move fast, break things, lay off engineers”, their customers are more likely to follow the people that take privacy and security seriously.
The CEO and CTO have made it clear that they want vibe-coded product updates without pentesting before exposing their customers to whatever may happen.
If you bought into Proton for privacy and security, that’s a red flag and a sign to find an alternative.
Compromising on pentesting and security reviews is not in line with their original mission. Their customer base (including employees) knows this.
Democratic and Republican voters are suffering equally.
At some point of rising costs of living, Republicans will break with dying Trump. They’ll blame his old age, and as Lindsey Graham put it “that Hitler shit.”
Every discussion of Proton leadership shortcomings shows a market of users looking for a better run company.
And if it’s all AI developed moving forward, why not? There’s investors out there that would support Proton’s original engineers to fulfill Proton’s original mission, without the AI psychosis abandoning security as a top priority.
Hopefully we’ll see those talented engineers leaving to build an alternative to Proton products now that we know corporate leadership at Proton can’t be trusted.
The board should really oust the “loser thinking” CEO and CTO if they want to minimize the damage to their brand.
The company not providing even a written statement in response to 404 reporting speaks volumes. They don’t see themselves accountable to their customers.
No harm in knowing who is working for you.

Are we now doing “guilty until proven innocent?”
> there's no mention of the ~10 million people who entered illegally under Biden. Is it democratic to have open borders?
Where is that figure sourced from? Are the borders still open?
You’re ignoring the bipartisan bill that would have increased border security in 2024, but Republican politicians shot down for political purposes to help Trump in the election. What did that bi-partisan solution get wrong that you would have done differently?
I get the sense this writer believes Immigration Enforcement Officers deporting and tracking legal American citizens is anti-democratic.
