I'm an experienced Ruby on Rails backend/API guy who has done full-stack work in the past and is now getting comfortable with VueJS. I prefer building backends, designing databases, and things like that. I actually work as an artist, organiser, and cultural producer primarily so I have frequently designed web applications and digital platforms to serve projects of my own and also others in the arts scene around here. I'm a bit unconventional in that aspect as my CV (https://johnw.fail/cv) will show.
Also I'm a native English speaker with a master's in English Literature so I end up doing a lot of proofreading, copy editing, and similar such work specifically relating to art and culture projects in the Baltic states and Finland.
Please get in touch if there's anything I can help with.
