Re:ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data on Sunday January 25, 2026 @11:40PM (#46761940)
ICE are carrying out operations across the county, at higher volume than Minneapolis, with no issue. The problem is Waltz and Frey are actively encouraging an insurrection against ICE and discouraging local law enforcement support of federal law enforcement.

It's almost as if certain groups of people riot to cause unrest and then blame Trump for the unrest. In reality Biden let people flood the border. When Trump enforces immigration laws to clean up his dangerous mess, they lose their mind.

No evidence because there has been no investigation. The massive Somali fraud had no evidence until a random YouTuber started knocking on quality learing center doors, now lots of new evidence has been found.

It's unfortunate nearly all online social media discourse has bifurcated between left and right. Bluesky is filed with fringe leftists and, frankly, losers. Dorsey created a second social media app, largely the same as twitter, with largely the same echo chamber.
Well I'm here but my comments get down voted and flagged. Hn is its own bubble. AMA. Or just keep downvoting me.
Re:Why overdose deaths are falling in America on Monday January 12, 2026 @12:43AM (#46584529)
I can't believe you guys upvoted this. It was sarcasm. Kamala didn't do anything as border czar. Her administration opened the border intentionally.

The kneejerk explanation would be the more strict border and law enforcement under the current administration. But the chart peaks in Dec 2023 and drops in 2024, so it cannot be that.

Perhaps, then, it was Kamala Harris' success as border czar under Biden.

This is suicidal empathy. Mercy for the guilty is cruelty for the innocent.

I think it's cruel and inhumane to let millions unvetted into our neighborhoods, schools, and communities.

It means less jobs for American young people. It means loss of culture and shared spaces. It means your kids can't play with their neighbors because they don't speak the same language.

It's weakness and we need to stop rationalizing it.

Would you want these people as your neighbor? Not speaking English? How about your whole town?

It's cruel. The modern left does not care about Americans, only the foreigners who can't build a safe and prosperous country of their own.

They are still deportable crimes. You cannot walk into a country and never leave just "because".

And no, the vast majority are not overstays. Less than half are overstays that came here legally [0]. So 58% crossed the border illegally.

Asylum seekers have been coached on what to say to claim asylum. Few are seeking asylum at all. The system is obviously being abused when these people vacation back to their home country that was so "dangerous" they claimed asylum.

It means no jobs for American young people. It means loss of culture and shared spaces. It means your kids having a worse educational experience because his classmates don't speak the same language. It means terrorists and spies can sneak across the border. It's weakness and we need to stop rationalizing it.

Would you want these people as your neighbor? Not speaking English? 6 kids? Loud Mexican music? How about your whole neighborhood until you're the last one left?

Some say unfortunate, others say fortunate. It's a luxury belief to want to let people walk across the border and have no repercussions. Enforce the border, get all the illegals out.
