I did not find anything about ME in BIOS settings, probably the code is not present as you suggested. I have not seen any DHCP requests from the box.

I guess pdf.js will be advantageous if you are using browser always.

Most of the times, I have multiple pdf files open side by side. So I had a pdf viewer in the machine.

Out of curiosity, how many users will be opening pdf using pdf.js? Is it widely used?

I was never comfortable with pdf.js and changed the setting to use the default pdf viewer in all my machines.

Re:How Estonia became a leader in technology on Friday June 12, 2015 @04:34AM (#9704668)
Estonia’s success is not so much about ditching legacy technology as it is about shedding “legacy thinking”

This is the key. I think many people does not understand this or does not approve of this. By going digital (like e-governance), use of paper is avoided but the procedure remains same. Does it save time? Sure, it does. But the process remains tedious as ever.

You might want to check the desktop analysis in Coverity. It runs a complete analysis at the first time. But afterwards, it can run analysis on the changes - but against a version present on your build server. I had set this up for a code base in C (>100Kloc) and desktop analysis was fast enough.
