Re:Odin, Wikipedia and Engagement Farming on Saturday July 04, 2026 @12:45AM (#48782700)
I'd say it provides a lot of information about whole situation, including context on how wikipedia operates and history of behavior from the creator of the language.

Furthermore, if you do treat this blog post (blog is generally tracked as someone's opinion) as ad hominem, you'd agree that the author of the language participates in ad hominem attacks as well as notes by the blog post?

Re:Cringey, but True: How Uber Tests Payments in Production on Wednesday August 07, 2024 @01:39PM (#41183572)
Doing penny testing yourself is different from letting a chunk of your user base test it
You only need to know where the person was or when crime was committed,
It's up to the customersthat were affected, they could sue for damages, but doubt many will do
Re:WHO says talc is 'probably' cancer-causing on Saturday July 06, 2024 @04:03AM (#40888912)
So why is it misleading? Don't think anyone is going to listen to a podcast just for that.

Re:PostgreSQL and UUID as Primary Key on Saturday July 06, 2024 @03:50AM (#40888847)
The details part is so miniscule that I doubt it even matters. You'd have difficult time trying to enumerate uuidv7s anyways.
Yeah, just like having a Google meet with speakers and microphone that's built in, when someone is speaking it gets cancelled out
Yes, it's well known and established that cold climates has negative effect on batteries. Of course if you're trying to get the best result you optimize the conditions. Just look how most sports records and times are set with best conditions available.
What does this have to do with failing gps devices
How would you know in the first place
> “But Andrew, Docker is already a thing. It’s been a thing for some time, even.” Correct. But everyone knows what a virtual machine is. Not everyone understands Docker. Do you want to risk sending someone off on a wild goose chase learning what containerization is, when they could be learning your thing instead? Meet your student where they are, not where you wish they were.

Ironic

More like 1 to 5%, I doubt any higher percentage bothers to update
Because it floods any related recommendations with same artist ultimately
Re:Flightradar24's new GPS jamming map on Wednesday March 20, 2024 @12:47PM (#39769081)
If you read the article, jamming is based on uncertainty of the aircraft, just because it's uncertain, doesn't mean that it's dangerous level of uncertainty
Considering is different from actually something that should be enforced
Stress and pressure can lead to performing actions that you thought you couldn't do. They don't specify how early this event took place but mentions that deposition was yet to take place. So a lot could have changed after that as there's kind of no turning back.
Re:Google restricts Gemini chatbot election answers on Wednesday March 13, 2024 @07:02AM (#39690048)
Wow, the best comeback to that is attack of the poster not the argument.
Re:German Bundestag Passes Cannabis Legalization on Friday February 23, 2024 @01:19PM (#39484199)
It's basically one of the UN treaties and Schengen ones that potentially clash, but that's debated as seen here https://eucrim.eu/articles/legalize-it-opportunities-and-cha...

Seems very unrelated to hacker news
Sure...
Common clause here if you go to a more expensive conference that you won't leave in 1 year or else you repay the costs. Same more or less can apply to learnings.
It can very much be part of the deal that stand their gcp commitment and play store fees.
Sounds like a fun time waiting for transaction to process in the shop
It's kinda clickbait, but at the start of an article it's laid out as this: > He is, by some measures, the most famous artist in the world, with many millions of social media followers
Re:Ask HN: How to survive indefinite DDoS attack? on Monday October 30, 2023 @11:05AM (#38070333)
So if someone becomes part of the bonnet, they are denied all access to the internet

Which state rights does YouTube violate?
