I do that all the time with Claude. What part is not working?

His subsequent podcast: "revolutions" is also really good.
Re:Ask HN: What cheaper cities are the best? on Friday May 19, 2023 @12:46PM (#36004015)
I always thought Las Vegas wouldn't be the worst place to raise a family despite it's reputation as Sin City.
* Work from anywhere, anytime, but try to keep a core schedule from 9 to 15.

That's almost three quarters of the work day.

I overlooked the unified memory on those machines. Can it really run this performantly?
I wonder if that kind of marketing is actually quite successful. You'd think they wouldn't risk their reputation otherwise right?
In my experience contracting for bigger companies you can be close to 100% billable by just billing a default 8 hours per day. Not counting the time without an assignment of course, but that should not be long if you have skills and a network.
You can definitely make close to that as a contractor / freelance web dev. I make about 85-90 per hour and should be charging more..
Ironically, as a Dutch tech worker without a degree the USA is one of the very very few countries I can't emigrate to.
I recently bought a car second hand, and for this flow logging in with ID verificiaton was mandatory.

And probably when the profit starts to reach that level they can just change it again..
Because of complexity, safety requirements and disposal of spent material.

AWS asks you to sync by inputting subsequent codes if it detects keys from the wrong time window.
They are also very much limited by the housing crisis in the Netherlands. They are perpetually looking for places to house their employees.

Can second this, I'm not usually into plays but Arcadia is brilliant.
Most timely is partly because they inflate the regular time. a 1:10 ryanair flight would be 0:55 on a normal carrier.

ASML is prohibited from shipping its newest machines to China by the Dutch government, because of heavy US pressure. I'm sure China would love ASML to be fully based there.
Re:9-Euro-Ticket on Friday May 20, 2022 @10:02AM (#31447515)
Correct, that wouldn't violate it. For German citizens only would.
Re:9-Euro-Ticket on Friday May 20, 2022 @08:25AM (#31446381)
Yes, it would be a violation of EU law to restrict it.
Re:Tech bubbles are bursting all over the place on Friday May 13, 2022 @03:46PM (#31371829)
That sounds interesting. Can you link to any reference on this? I tried googling but didn't turn up much.

Yes, but most people don't consider that $1000 as lost money.

They are working on that feature where you can play for free without earning tokens. I expect that to be done within a month or 2.
Re:Crypto’s hottest game is facing an economic maelstrom on Friday November 26, 2021 @03:55PM (#29354027)
Have you ever played it yourself? The game is better than the majority of mobile games.
Re:Crypto’s hottest game is facing an economic maelstrom on Friday November 26, 2021 @03:38PM (#29353857)
Yes, I have about 100 "scholars" from the Philippines working for me. I put in about $30,000 a few months ago. Return has been 300%+

I'm also involved in breeding new axies which is more complex and time consuming. The return of that varies a lot, but can be very profitable, very hard to put a number on that but I'd say las few weeks it was probably 250% APR if you didn't get too unlucky.

I would probably cash out a lot of things, but I feel bad for making 100 people suddenly unemployed, so I will probably stop expanding but not actually selling off all my things.

Re:Crypto’s hottest game is facing an economic maelstrom on Friday November 26, 2021 @02:44PM (#29353379)
Personally I think the PVP part of axie is pretty good as a game. It's strategic and a better player can easily win with a worse team.
Re:Crypto’s hottest game is facing an economic maelstrom on Friday November 26, 2021 @02:40PM (#29353340)
Two tokens:

AXS is the governance token and is premined, mainly held to fund the team, given out as rewards to players and given out as rewards for keeping AXS staked. Used for breeding new Axies

SLP is the token gained by playing the game, this token is also used for breeding new Axies. The game servers sign a message allowing you to claim the SLP from a smart contract on the ronin chain, this part is not completely decentralized.

I'm heavily invested into axie (5 figures), happy to answer any questions.
Re:Fred Wilson: Swapping NFT's (startup idea) on Monday November 22, 2021 @05:06PM (#29312094)
Yes it indeed costs that. Actually doing anything on the ethereum network has been very expensive the last few weeks/months unfortunately.
