The only scars i like on my body are the ones from the plasma donations i have done. i have about 30 of them by now, with some strong emotions tided up in those pinpoints.
Then why not have standardised vehicles and have the driver be the only variable?

"Android and iOS are hiding the files as much as they can."

This is the number one thing that bugs me about all the mobile OS platforms. The most important thing to me is my data not the programs that I use to operate on them.

Anyone can have a copy of the programs I use, but only I have my data.

Leaving the organisation of something so important to some XYZ app doing who knows what is just madness to me.

is it possible to read out the state of a flipdot display?

with a small amount of additional memory the display could hold the game state and you could manually flip the dots to input the cells.

the billboards are moving into the cars, and if it is self driving then you have more time to stare at the ads.

I think that this setting should be promoted out of developer settings as i find it so useful

the fish shell manpage has ':' as an alias to 'true'.
Not understanding the answer.
all right let me buy one of your kidneys, after all you only need one.
being skeptical and determining the truth takes a lot of work. I fear that we may just refuse to wade through all the lies and just accept a enforced willful ignorance.

Re:This picture broke my brain [3B1B video] on Friday March 27, 2026 @11:44AM (#47544193)
It has been that way for a while now. I see Veritasium video titles and thumbnails change quite often, it can be quite annoying as it sometimes gives the appearance of it being a whole new video.

A/B testing a title feels wrong to me, its almost as bad as A/B testing a UUID. Just pick a title and stick to it unless you need to fix a factual error.

would it not just produce 'b/c'? assuming 'b/c' is an existent file path

what else could you justify it doing?

Re:Fifteen Most Famous Transcendental Numbers on Thursday January 01, 2026 @05:52AM (#46453054)
Thanks for the correction. It seems that all the layman’s explanations on Galois theory i have seen have been simplified to the point of being technically wrong, as well as underselling it.
Re:Fifteen Most Famous Transcendental Numbers on Wednesday December 31, 2025 @11:09PM (#46451217)
I am no mathematician, but i think you may be overstating Galois result. it says that you cant write a single closed form expression for the roots of any quintic using only (+,-,*,/,nth roots). This does not necessarily stop you from expressing each root individually with the standard algebraic operations.

isnt most of the advantage of soap is that it gets the germs off your skin and washes them down the drain. the soap does not have to kill them to work.

i wonder how sensitive your equipment would need to be to read it from the back scatter off the interstellar medium.
unobtainium predates Avatar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unobtainium

and at least that exposition makes more sense then the "fountain of youth brain juice" in the sequel, when the humans can literally reincarnate themselves without having to cross interstellar space to do it.

a collision can send debris into an orbit with a higher eccentricity. these orbits may not last very long as they would also have a lower perigee.

nintendo tried that with the gameboy. games had to have a copy of the nintendo logo in them. i dont think it was ever tested in court though.

To an archeologist both artifacts are worth having, just look at Pompeii the frescoes tell you alot but the graffiti on the sides of the buildings tells you something as well.
i use the rss feed of the channels i am subscribed to and download the videos i want to watch with yt-dlp. i may browse the homepage every so often but i just copy the links and download them.

I would have thought it was a typo of 'seafloor' rather than 'seabed'.
