Knox and Dex are why I'm locked into Samsung. I like LG's new Wing and want it, but I'm too used to having my Knox security features (like secure folder) and Dex to lose them. Do I like everything Samsung does? Not really, but the things they got right, or closer to right, have me hooked.

I think enough of us have been on the same side of this story that we feel fairly comfortable taking it at face value, even if we're only applying it to said personal experience in a wishful fashion.

Because typically you want politicians engaged socially with their electorate?

Businesses fear liability. Governments should be built on it.

Re:Colombia is considering legalizing its cocaine industry on Friday December 04, 2020 @11:40AM (#25304359)
Unfortunately I think this is as good for the drug dealers as it is for addicts who it's designed to help. Dealers can assure potential customers there are no "legal" worries while not worrying about clients being forced to flip on them. It's an experiment we can watch and monitor results on though, which is probably better for the country as a whole than doing nothing across the board.
Quite possibly this isn't a hack and someone got a Twitter admin's account, then got access to the admin panel and "all" accounts without having to hack much of anything.
I'm not sure where the report of the following morning is coming from. They were released after about an hour and back on the air. That doesn't excuse anything, as they clearly identified themselves and were live on the air, but this is an exaggeration of what happened.
This puts Blizzard in too soft a light, as if they have no choice.

A better comparison is Blizzard being a store owner who sells cakes to everyone, when one day a Nazi comes in and says you can't sell cakes to that uppity black person who upset me or you'll never be able to sell cakes to Nazis again.

Blizzard then gets to decide which is more important, business with Nazis or standing up for a core set of values.

As may occur in this instance, the free market may decide if they're going to side with Nazis, Nazis get to be their only client.

At this point people are deciding how delicious they think Blizzard cakes are, and if they still want to eat them.

It really does feel like there should be some kind of aptitude test involved in getting a vote, doesn't it?
