Weird. They claim Firefox is not supported, but with some user-agent switcharoo it seems to work fine.

Ugh.

Similary, the Hyundai Kona is called the Hyundai Kauai in Portugal as "cona" literally translates to "pussy".

Languages are fun :)

So they're just like tesla then :D
Your attitude is quite unpleasant, teetering on the edge of ableism. Some people (myself included) are just very sensitive to RSI. I get up and about plenty, but without my ergodox keyboard and mx ergo I'm in a world of pain after a regular workday.

I just love the domain name!

I'd say auto-focus is a requirement for UX. Most users won't find the manual focus adjust button.
I wonder what they get out of this. Injecting ads perhaps?

Exactly. My experience is that the universe will just come up with a better fool.

We must not forget that most of us over here have affinity with technology to at least some degree.

We might manage just fine, but it's way above our grandparent's heads.

I just love how close the word seværdighed is to the dutch word: bezienswaardigheid.

Garmin uses them extensively in both their smart watches and handheld GPS devices like the GPSmap series. The displays are not very impressive as far as color reproduction or contrast goes, but the readability in bright sunlight is superb - way better than any LCD or OLED screen. Which is far more important for outdoor devices.

RE: revocation broken

Absolutely. Especially with the advent of protocols like ACME it just makes sense.

Here's a nice blogpost from smallstep (not affiliated) on this topic: https://smallstep.com/blog/passive-revocation/

The stupid thing is that this might be illegal in some jurisdictions. With any DRM scheme you'll end up having to break the law at some point in time to consume the content you legally purchased.

The grille is one of the most characteristic design feature of a BMW. Don't forget that a BMW is a luxury product. Why buy a BMW if it does not look like one?

Nice! I have one question though: _why?_
Why did you opt for PGP? If I understand correctly, your system inherits the lack of PFS.

I just hit agree and let my browser extensions handle the rest by blocking tracking cookies.
That would make sense. Embryos with bad genetic mutations are quite often rejected. The mother does not even have to notice this.
Agreed, what's going on should be completely transparent. The security of the system must only depend on the private keys and implementation correctness.

Using a magic mouse is near-instant wrist pain for me. Although I like the idea of gestures on the mouse, it just won't work for me. On the other hand, the logitech MX ergo has been stellar for me for the past year!

Technically correct is the best kind of correct.
Buy a mouse wiggler, problem solved.
Elaborating on the audiophile market: you have audiophiles and audiofools. I consider myself a bit of an audiophile, your friend might be an audiofool... I have even heard someone claim that spotify sounds better than CD.

There is this audiophile article [0] that takes compares some different consumer level NAS devices. They used the same listening setup to play lossless audio files from different NAS devices. The article's authors perceived a difference in sound quality and characteristics, depending on the NAS and RAID configuration!

The article is a solid example of a placebo effect. The bitstream is identical between the setups.

When it comes down to digital to analog conversion, there's a lot of variables going on. I can definitely hear the difference between my laptop's headphone output and the headphone output of my prosumer-level audio interface. A more expensive audio interface might introduce measurably less cross-talk and noise. Some headphones will sound weak if the headphone amp is not powerful enough.

In other words: some people focus on things that are measurable. Others seem to be deliberately chasing the placebo effect of expensive equipment.

Re:Your Phone Is Your Castle on Monday September 14, 2020 @02:44AM (#24467474)
That's what work profiles are for. I'm fine with my company nuking the work profile on my phone. It fulfills infosec requirements while still respecting my ownership over my own device.

Re:My 2020 Hackintosh Hardware Spec on Tuesday January 28, 2020 @10:04AM (#22169993)
That seems to be the case.

Note that you'd have to user vt-d, in combination with vfio, not virtio. Vt-d allows for PCIe passthrough. VirtIO is a family of paravirtualized hardware like HDD controllers and network interfaces.

Besides the name-switchup, you're completely right.

Garmin devices are equipped with those. Pretty awesome for outdoor devices like GPSMap devices. Perfectly legible in very intense sunlight.
