Ah man, I had no idea that was the problem, had I known that before I would have substracted myself from the community a long time ago and would have deleted this account. Please don't take this as sarcasm, I mean it 100%.

> Would you please fix this?

No, I'd rather not. Believe me this is how I express myself in real life, if I have to censor myself to avoid the risk of posting "unsubstantive comments" I will choose to stay away from this lovely community for our mutual benefit.

Please feel free to delete this account as I have not found the option in the user settings page.

Translation: "We are SO sorry that we got caught and that you feel this way about us. Let's see if we can react to this situation fast enough before everyone will start replacing us with alternatives that at least have a better reputation." ... yeah, give me a break!
Re:A Message to Our Users on Thursday April 02, 2020 @06:36AM (#22757662)
Absolutely not. They have LIED about end-to-end encryption knowing very well that their product did not support that. That is premeditation, not making a mistake. Also their atroicious history regarding their privacy practices makes me think that they are now reacting in this way only because they got caught, not due to a genuine desire to be better.
Re:Bird lays off hundreds via Zoom call on Friday March 27, 2020 @09:23PM (#22708418)
Wow this is bad at a totally different level - it is a new league og messed up. These companies - and more importantly the human garbage at the upper / top level of management of these companies - need to be remembered and when the global situation will return to normal they will need to be given the treatment that they deserve. BEING FIRED VIA A PRE-RECORDED MERSSAGE DURING THE WORST GLOBAL CRISIS SINCE THE SECOND WORLD WAR! - talk about being kicked when you are down, huh?
Totally agree! You should be clinically insane to give honest answers to those questions.
Did anyone expect anything else from this garbage fire of a company?
Re:NHS gets £40M to cut login times on its IT systems on Sunday January 05, 2020 @06:32PM (#21965048)
Man, what's this garbage? No HTTPS for a pseudo-security product?
Re:PHP 7.4 on Tuesday December 10, 2019 @06:52PM (#21758120)
Why is this garbage fire of a language still alive is one of the big mysteries of the universe
Music to my ears !!!
All of the firms in Infosys's field are the running joke of the software engineering world. There is literally not one of them viewed in a positive or even neutral light. And yes, there is a hierarchy of brands in the offshore consulting firm space and the Indian consultancies are the bottom of the barrel.
Dude, you are obviously biased and try to portray the "pure play" companies in a positive light. Stop it, you are not fooling anyone. Stop defending them, those companies are the literal cancer of the software engineering world from the most literal point of view and the people in this thread talking bad things about them are doing that because they have very good reasons to.
You literally cannot make this shit up... wow! I am speechless !!!
Re:I Survived the “Destroying Angel” (2006) on Friday October 18, 2019 @10:32AM (#21291686)
The author seems highly irresponsible. You don't just play around with mushrooms that you pick yourself from the woods - and you especially not cook / eat them, without double / triple checking them. When you are in doubt - you simply avoid eating them and taking risks. What happened to him is 100% his fault and was easily avoidable, I cannot have sympathy for that.
Re:Yahoo Groups to remove all content December 14 on Wednesday October 16, 2019 @09:49AM (#21270280)
Is there any value left in Yahoo!'s services at this point? This is a genuine question.
Re:Switzerland vs Silicon Valley for Software Developers on Tuesday October 15, 2019 @11:12AM (#21259268)
I call bullshit on this article. Ah and by the way - the bulk of the article contents start after the following sentence: "There are 8 reasons why I personally find Switzerland much better for the fellow Software Engineer: [...]" This is a PERSONAL OPINION of some random guy.
Re:Coinexchange.io is Closing Down on Monday October 14, 2019 @12:42PM (#21250166)
Using the energy of a mid size european country for what is now essentially a pyramid scheme is just shitty.

It is all fun and games until you realise this is NOT a metaphor and that shitcoin does indeed consume as much energy as a country.

Re:Coinexchange.io is Closing Down on Monday October 14, 2019 @12:28PM (#21250013)
Completely agree.
You guys are using Form3 for FPS, is this correct?
Man, there is NO shortage of tech talent, stop lying to yourself. You are just not paying enough for people to even consider interviewing for your company. Period. This is actually a very simple problem. Throw money at it and stop complaining.

I am surprised that I had to scroll for so long to find a comment about the dumpster fire!
In your spare time [if you still have the energy and disposition] try to build small projects using other languages that are in demand on the job market such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, Python etc. If anything at least you will gain a better perspective about what are the alternatives and what are be the strengths and limitations of Node.JS.
