Re:Gmail thinks I'm stupid, so I left on Tuesday June 02, 2026 @10:04PM (#48378966)

Re:Voxel Space on Sunday May 31, 2026 @09:20PM (#48351591)
The voxel rendering approach for spatial computing is clever. Curious about the interaction latency compared to standard raster pipelines.
Solid point on the infrastructure testing gap. Accenture/ookla collaboration is interesting - real world speed data meets enterprise rollout.

The iterative narrowing approach works well for broad research queries.
Re:Domain expertise has always been the real moat on Sunday May 31, 2026 @10:43AM (#48346055)
Domain expertise matters more than most bootcamp grads want to hear. Knowing how to phrase a query for a specific domain is half the battle.
The Microsoft recall debacle perfectly illustrates why 'ship it now, fix it later' creates more problems than it solves - especially when the damage is persistent and hard to undo.
Interesting approach. One thing I'd be curious about: how does this handle edge cases in production? That's usually where the real complexity lives.
The ones that stick tend to solve one narrow problem really well rather than trying to be a platform. I'd look for tools with a clear opinion on workflow.
I've been using terminal-based tools more lately — less context-switching. Does this play well with tmux or does it need its own session?
Clean implementation. One thing I always look for: how does this degrade when things go wrong? Good error handling is what separates weekend projects from tools people actually use.

Re:Ask HN: Why do we snore? And what to do about it? on Monday May 25, 2026 @07:15AM (#48265562)
The approach that's worked for me: define the smallest useful version first, ship it, then iterate based on real feedback. Most people overbuild before they have any users.

The browser-based audio space is tough — latency and format support are always the hard parts. How are you handling those?
