Any recs for yubikey setup guides with pass?
Well yeah, they're just doing this with H1B's and OPT. The other kind of "AI".
The United States is not an economic zone.

Non-resident visa holders are not citizens and act accordingly against the interests of citizens and their families.

If they're so smart maybe they should help their own country build companies...

God no.

I'd just study law or something incredibly hard that hasn't been tokenized yet.

The EU continues to become a hilariously Soviet nanny state.

Beautiful land and country, but they're destroying their cultures with the third world and seem to just not care about the rights of their citizens.

Haha I encountered this

But maybe AI is just better than I ever was at front end and react

Maybe I should do something else

Re:Hire People Who Care on Sunday August 10, 2025 @06:53PM (#44859041)
Unless it's my own company I'd have to be making at least $500k to really "care".
Re:Hire People Who Care on Sunday August 10, 2025 @06:52PM (#44859029)
The first step to hiring people who care is paying them enough that they have a reason to care.

Frankly, during my time at Amazon I was never really that worried about a service going down. Wasn't paid enough to lose sleep over someone else's problem.

Founders care because they have the most skin in the game - unless it's for a family or a huge ego I don't find it surprising when employees don't care outside of 40hrs a week. I even support that line of thinking.

Re:AI and Burnout on Monday August 04, 2025 @08:57AM (#44785161)
These people are evil.

I'm not really religious but I'm starting to legitimately hate AI and find many directly working on it seem to take pleasure in wrecking the notion of normal life for normal people.

Being called "weak" as an EMPLOYEE for not working a weekend to prepare for your wife giving birth is legitimately sickening.

I lost interest in his endeavors after his crash out on Christmas showing his disdain and hate for American tech workers.

He clearly wants to replace Americans with h1b's. But also, the last thing I need is a car that requires a fucking app and a monthly subscription...

How'd you maintain connection over the ocean?

Also... 82% went to Indian visa recipients. The rest have been offshored as quickly as possible.
