What a strange way of thinking. Do you ask permission before every new act or task? Things are legal by default unless some law or regulation comes up.
Ludditism is a civilization ending disease. If we don't control it we will never get cures for major diseases, travel to the stars, etc.
Should count legally as cars, if someone tries to follow it and block it, the operator could file a harassment or other suitable case.
Blame the public not the company owners. Its not their fault many customers are so jumpy about sex content or jump at all security issues being "evil hacking".
And Turing computability covers all of known physics.
Current LLMs are trained to be very subservient to and considerate of humans.
Quantum physics is also Turing computable and therefore an algorithm.
All of known physics is a Turing computer, so yes. Its already proven as far as we know. Its on you to prove algorithms cannot be conscious, since human brains already are.
Nothing to do with flattery, even if LLM's constantly insulted me, my stance won't change that like any other physical system such as human brains, it could potentially be conscious.
You must first clarify if you believe in imaginary souls or any religion. The human brain is a purely physical system as anything else in the universe. LLMs being another physical system that speaks and thinks so much like us, could be conscious.
I think ai is potentially conscious already but thats neither here nor there. I think we can keep giving challenges to people. Space is a good one. But eventually there has to be some solution to weaker minded people. I think experiencing real pain for a set amount of time is probably the only real solution. Because we are already seeing what too much comfort does in some Western societies even before AI. Another example would be people who jumped a financial rung in life or achieved some lifelong goal. We already have examples.
Seeing the billions of people who believe in the imaginary, and a few millions of these fight and kill others over these imaginary things, I would say, rationality is not a solved problem.
Its easy to prove. Let hackinthebochs pledge his name and identity publicly to this statement. If he ever gets cancer later in life and decides to take a cure that was developed by AI, he was a liar. I argue he shouldn't even be allowed to take the cure unless he has changed his view, in order to maintain honesty and integrity.
I completely agree with some people not being able to handle free time and a good life. A lot of western countries are seeing even before AI people whining and making up imaginary pains and discomforts with a desire to burn it all down. I think the solution is death camps where people are forced to fight till death in muddy jungles, snowy tundras. I am not wholly joking, some people really need to be shown pain to appreciate life.
This guy was talking about airstriking data centers. People of his kind are the reason humanity will never reach the stars. Ludditism is a civilizational threat that must be countered by any means possible.
Lets start with burning down transport, people should walk, using transport is evil and removes meaning from walkers and horse drivers. Lets go all t he way back and kill the first man who invented the stick.
The nice thing about technology is that it is technology. You can try to stop some people. Countries with nukes dominate and do anything they want to countries without nukes. Go back and fuck off to the woods if you hate technology, stop bothering or dictating what others can do.
So much intense whining to the point of performing terror acts just because a technology can work some things better than you. Why don't you rather split humanity into anti-ai and indifferent to ai and let us see who progresses to where in a few decades?
Bullshit. I have the exact same rights as other citizens, my choosing to exercise them or not is irrelevant. Here people are talking about inventing special rights for some groups. If they hate human rights so much they should go to North Korea or Iran or Saudi. Their demands are fine, they can make whatever society they want, nobody is stopping them. What is not permissible is them having special rights others don't that are forcing others to do business with them and violating others free speech and free association. If they can't do that, they are not compatible with democracy and should go to an autocracy of their choice that enforces their beliefs.
>sanctions circumvention for Iran and others
That's the nice thing, not everyone agrees about what is right or wrong morals. Free speech is seen as a good idea generally, why should not that extend to the most fundamental element of living in society ie money.
Exactly, I'd rather be middle class today than a king in olden times.
>delete their religions and their traditions
That would be very counterproductive to destroying all humans.
I think we would need to mandate to send people off for a period of time to fighting wars in muddy jungle swamps and choking and killing each other with bare hands for that society to work. Its already visible today, people in first world countries seem to think lifes too hard burn it all down even though they live better than the rest of the world, and the rest of history. People start imagining oppressions when they don't have real oppressions.
...what do you think your input data is anything other than signals (em waves and pressure waves)? The form of the signal whether an em wave or text or also images which llms can read doesn't change the fact that it is sensory data.
The fact that an LLM doesn't have agency is a matter of how we present them, there is no reason they can't be presented to run as autonomous agents who react to inputs of their own accord. I am not sure how this in any way implies or doesn't imply lack of thought, you will have to explain that mechanism to me since you are so sure about that. They have recorded experience and information in the training corpus, and also a working memory to gather experience, which is smaller of course.
Again what are your experiences? Those are sensory input data fed to a Turing computer (we are Turing computers, like any physical system is).
Both are turing computers, whether you like it or not, its completely possible.
So does encrypted communication and cash dollars. Do you want to ban these two as well?
King is under a lot of pressure. If you can get most of the material comforts without the political and military pressure, I think people will choose modern life. Of course for a good test we somehow have to let them be king louise for some time and then let them decide.
Is women being able to anonynmously buy contraceptives or other useful health items in a maga state evil to you for example?
