Yes cause laws have been so successful at preventing unlawful upload of data.
Ah because cultures never remember this kind of stuff. It's all individualized right? Lol.

There are cultures on earth that have hated each other for centuries.

To quote something I just read. Keep living the dream and maybe one day you'll learn the workings of life.

Not all internet usage would be deemed public.

Social media sure.

What about what you watch on PornHub? Should that be tied directly to your government ID?

I know that's an easy one to cherry pick but just consider all you use the internet for and how an adversarial governmenft could use some of that info.

Personally I'd love to see all social media corps required to verify ID but leave the rest of the internet alone.

Re:Mathematicians want proof OpenAI didn't use their work on Thursday September 10, 2026 @07:55AM (#49642252)
Very simply put it's an advertisement for OpenAI.

Just like their "oops we hacked hugging face".

Everything OpenAI does is to drive hype. They aren't honest or a good actor but they sure have good hype.

Yup! Our biggest vote in life is where we put our feet and where we spend our money. It has always been this way but it is more important than ever that people learn to think this way.
Who would have thought banning something would make it attractive to kids. Radical.
Can you get the exact text back out with a prompt or not? Having or not having a book isn't fuzzy.

Soft eng for 20+ years.

Happy have LLM code for me.

I won't let them speak for me though. I think people who let AI speak for them in places other humans read probably couldn't speak for themselves pre-LLM. It's sad.

Take a step into the business side of software. Code is definitely not the hard part. You wouldn't say wood is hard part (heh) of wood working. It is planning and architecting. When to use the right tools. Just because a ruler has hash marks that doesn't mean measuring is hard it means the ruler doesn't work without it.

Maybe to someone who is new to the world.

Which given life expectancy 2000 years ago that would probably be equivalent to today's 60+.
Social media was dying amongst that demographic.

Now that they are being told it's banned that demographic will be all over social media again.
