Re:Ask HN: Can I help you be more awesome today? (No strings.) on Friday November 18, 2011 @09:29PM (#3254376)
I would appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on my side project: http://www.gotcheapbooks.com. I am a developer and I am trying to learn more about design and usability. Please give me suggestions regarding the following:

- What can I do to improve the design?

- Any suggestions for making it more user friendly?

Thank you for your help and have a great weekend!

Re:Ask HN: How many hours have you spent programming? on Friday August 05, 2011 @10:56AM (#2850284)
Let's see..I started my current job in Jan. 2010 and I have worked around 3000 hours so far just for my full time job. For my start-up which I started in May 2011, I probably spend another 500 hours.

I started programming since I started college in 1999. I am guessing around 17,500 hours.

Oh, wow..love the site! I frequently check out "Show HN" posts. I mostly view the feedback that was given. I like that you included a preview and link to the comments section.

EDIT: I tried it out more. It would be nice to have a search option too.

Re:Ask HN: How do you manage your thoughts? on Wednesday August 03, 2011 @09:35AM (#2841055)
I have tried notebooks and index cards but I had the problem of forgetting them. Now, I keep two text files in my dropbox folder. One for work use and one for personal use. This has been working fairly well for me. I use these to take notes, ideas and track to do lists.
